This yarn is dyed and thin but very soft!
I wasn't expecting this yarn to be dyed but be warned- it is. I ordered a few different colors and so far while wet blocking, the dark grey has bled the most. I don't get the sense that the dye will rub off while the product is being worn because I didn't notice anything while knitting, but I was a little disappointed that I didn't know about this before.Besides that, this yarn is pretty great. It's thinner than I wanted it to be but it's very soft and everyone is enjoying their presents. I doubled up for a lot of my projects so it took between 4 and 6 skeins for a scarf and about 2 or 3 for a hat, doubled. Definitely not cheap, even for alpaca wool in my experience. It is definitely alpaca wool though. All in all, I'll keep buying this for projects because it's accessible and available, but it doesn't beat my local alpaca farm wool in my opinion.

Far thinner weight than advertised.
Absolutely love this luxurious, silky yarn - no shedding at all, no color bleeding, it beautifully defines stitches and patterns. However, there are two things that are unfortunately outweighing me enjoying to work with it: - It’s thinness: this is NOT a bulky weight yarn by any means or measures, it’s a good solid #4. This misrepresentation virtually at least doubles the price of the project I’m working on. - For the above reason, the price is much too high. Not justifiable...So, to buy yarn for my next baby alpaca Afghan I’ll look else where.

Soft and luxe
This yarn is wonderful. Once you use Alpaca yarn, all other yarns become inferior lol. For real, every year for many now, I crochet Christmas gifts for everyone on my list and the alpaca is just incredibly soft. This year I found this Alpaca for a great price, I am used to paying much more. But the quality is amazing. So so soft, absolutely no itch. I have had no knots or rejoins in any skeins I’ve used- and I’m going on skein 9. This yarn is consistent as in no thin or uneven spots in the skein. And as stated a worsted four yarn, and I’ve crocheted all these ear warmers with a 5mm hook and I’m happy with them. With any project just make sure you try and gauge how much yarn your project calls for. For reference, I can crochet four full ear warmers, with three skeins of this yarn on a 5mm hook, and have a little yarn left over. They are 19in long and about four inches wide. Overall this is the best price and quality yarn. So soft and luxe.

Super soft. Super fine
Love the feel of this yarn.I ended up doubling two strands to work with it to make a baby blanket, it is super fine. With doubling it became a little pricey even for a baby blanket. It did turn out ok.

nice but thin
This yarn resulted in a very soft and luxuriously hat. My only concern was that the yarn was very thin. I used three strands and size 5 1/2 needles to make the hat and it still was not bulky at all. It would be a perfect yarn for something very thin made with very small needles.

Wonderfully Soft
They are more a DK weight, but with 2 strands my afghan worked up beautifully. This yarn is extremely soft and a pleasure to work with.

Alpaca Rocks - Favorite Yarn
This is my favorite yarn to use. Made a hat and matching scarf and the finished quality is excellent.I'm slightly above novice in this craft so any errors I may have made are not apparent. It feels fantastic! Alpaca is an excellent natural, lightweight material which never feels too heavy and keeps you at the right temperature. Will buy more in the future!
