Superb battery life, and easy install! Just make sure to fully charge prior to use.
For those of you who have experienced poor battery life after swapping out your old batteries with these, I strongly urge you to "fully" charge the battery prior to use. I'm pretty sure the built in circuitry of your controller will prevent overcharging, so that's not an issue. However, draining the battery completely is! Once a Lithium Polymer battery is fully drained, it's rendered useless (unless you have specialized equipment.) I replaced the batteries in both of my controllers 6+ months ago and went from <2 hours of usage per charge to between 12-15 hours. Yeah. That's right. No B.S. Nor have I noticed a drop in play time per charge yet. These batteries are legit. Also, I turned the light bar to dim, and vibration off, of course. I hope this review helps. Game on!

A lot of Money Saved
These batteries are a major money saver. I assumed that when the PS 4 controller batteries went bad that you just had to replace the controller like an old iPhone. I decided one day to gave Amazon a look to see if the batteries are replaceable and low and behold they are! With the cost of a new controller being from $ 50-$60 I decided to take a risk and buy 2 new batteries for our 2 controllers seeing that the reviews were generally good and I'm certainly glad I did. Some reviewers stated that you had to trim some of the battery holder plastic away inside the controller to accommodate the slightly larger (and twice the fully charged power capacity,) battery. I did have to do this on one of the two controllers but this was a fairly simple task with a small pair of wire cutters. I have owned the new batteries for about three weeks now and have had to charge the batteries only once during this time! The batteries both arrived fully charged and ready to use. These batteries are long lived and I was able to replace the batteries in both controllers for about one half of the cost of a single new controller! I am very happy with this product and strongly recommend it.

Slightly bigger than original battery.
Lasts much longer than the original ps4 battery, but in my case, I had to cut out some of plastic from the controller to make the battery fit.

This thing is the real deal
I will edit this review down the line if I see a performance decrease in the near-future. As of now, however, this battery is performing like an absolute champion.Provided the screws in your DS4 aren't rusted or stripped, getting the controller open isn't too much of a struggle with the correct tools. I used a screwdriver/prying tool kit that came with a trigger-stop mod that I purchased, but you can find kits specifically marketed for DS4 use here on Amazon for under $10. One it's open, the battery swap and controller reassembly shouldn't take more than a minute or two.I planned to charge the controller after installation, but accidentally hit the PS button on it while closing the casing, and noticed that the PS4 read it as having 3/3 battery. I decided to just let it run that way and see how long it lasts. I had it on for about 14 hours straight yesterday (I turned off the automatic shut-off feature just to test the battery), including about 4-5 hours of game time. I shut it off when I went to bed, and when I turned it on again this morning, it still displayed 2/3 battery meter. I couldn't possibly ask for a better performance. As long as it doesn't die prematurely, this will end up having been a fantastic purchase.NOTE: Make sure you have V1 of the Dualshock 4 before buying this battery, as it's specifically designed for it. The easy way to tell if your DS4 is V1 or V2 is to see whether the touchpad displays a light bar when the controller is on. If there is a light bar, it's a V2 controller, and this battery is not designed for it. If there is no light bar, it's V1, and you're ok to pull the trigger on this battery.

Lasts for a couple of weeks and then doesn't hold a charge
The battery was easy to install and was compatible with my controller, but that doesn't mean much since it died almost immediately. After installation, I plugged my controller into my PS4 and the battery charged up and was good to go. Now, after just about two weeks of minimal use,the controller won't work at all unless it's plugged in. I haven't even been using it to play games - only to stream videos a few nights a week... I'm really disappointed.

Works With v1 and v2 DS4 Controllers
The one I received is the same battery shown in the pictures but it includes 2 plugs.Depending on the version of your controller, it will either use one or the other.I don't have a proper way to test it but it seems about right weight and size for 2200mAh.This is realistically the the largest size battery that can fit in a DS4. Any seller advertising 3000mAh+ is most likely false advertising and likely smaller than the original battery. I like this one bc the battery is exposed unlike others that are encapsulated in a plastic box, mimicking the look of the oem battery. If the replacement battery is double or more the original capacity, it shouldn't be able to fit in the same size plastic box.

It works, but with a few problems
Like a lot of other reviews I have seen, I was also unaware that there are two different sizes of batteries for the Dualshock 4 controller. I have the first gen PS-4 (Grand Theft Auto Edition) and my battery just stopped charging, so I saw this and decided to give it a try. The connector is supposed to fit, and it kind of does, but I really had to push hard to get it in (I'll probably never get it out again). I didn't have to trim any of the plastic around the battery tray, so that was a plus, but it was still a little harder to install than I expected. After I finally got it all back together, I was surprised to find out that I had to play around with the charging cable (I tried several) to find the sweet spot where the yellow charging light illuminated. For the price, I guess I am alright with that, but still, a lot more work than its worth. Battery life is great, and it works just fine, but I'll probably look for a different battery for my second controller.
