This book was no doubt created quickly, probably with shallow internet research and with very little effort on the part of the author. Most of the information is generic, with a few black and white photos of Heelers. The section on training? It basically says Blue Heelers are smart and trainable and that you should get a book on training Blue Heelers! Sorry, but this is a HUGE waste of money and time.

We just got a new Blue Heeler and for many months tried to prepare. We are not newbie dog owners but needed to make a serious effort to understand and know our new puppy well. Our oldest has high functioning autism and the puppy will eventually act as a service dog for her. So in our search for the right resources, we wanted a solid foundation that training classes could build on. I've read multiple books about Blue Heelers and by far this is the best one. It includes adorable photos of Blue Heelers, as well as a super easy to understand protocol for getting your puppy off the right paw. I am already amazed at our progress.

I've got to say, I really loved this author's explanations and instructions about this great breed, the Blue Heelers. Super clear, fun to read and do. It has a whole lot of photos of the Blue Heelers and all in all - best Blue Heelers guide I have read and actually used this time. Good job for nephews too. We're reading it together.

This is by far my favourite book about Blue Heelers. I reread certain sections over and over because they are so helpful and descriptive. Within one week, my 8-week old puppy's behaviour and skills improved dramatically. Now, I understand my puppy's behaviour even more than ever and I credit a lot of that to this book. The concise and clear explanations really helped me understand my Blue Heeler even more. I also appreciate how educational this book is on topics like socialization and crate training (the typical day schedule was great!). The author really emphasized the importance of socialization and gave many great tips. I highly recommend this book by Mark Manfield.

I am glad I bought this Blue Heelers manual. I purchased it to know more about the history the breed when I got interested in adopting a Blue Heeler, since I’ve never had one before. The book contains a lot of great information about feeding, growth expectations, and training tips. I would highly recommend this book, if like me, you are new to the breed.

Blue Heeler is not another pet but a special breed. Training a Blue Heeler and make him an obedient pet is very important compared to other breeds. Manfield has fulfilled his task in this book. It is well-illustrated, easy reading and broadly covers all aspects of information that is needed for someone who wants to own this adorable dog.

What an interesting and informative treatise on Blue Heelers development and physiology as well as some very specific and insightful techniques and methods for bonding with and effectively training a puppy. The photos of the cute Blue Heelers are so adorable! This is a whole new world of Blue Heelers Bible that was written by an expert!
