Works great kinda sticks in one direction when you crank it hard but breaks free with a quick wack

Had this reed wrench at the plant for two weeks or so before I wrote this review, just to be sure. I love it. With a pair of channelocks and this I can do about every day to day task. Breaking manway bolts torqued to 200 Lbft, line cleaning, lineups, pigging, you name it. I like that the socket ends are retained by a large C-clip, so it’s easy to clean and lube. Very happy with this ratchet.

Perfect for mount change outs.

one wrench will work for about everything in the ditch when working on mechanical joint water fittings and saddles

But flimsy for a wrench but as long as you pull/push straight on you’ll be fine. I use it daily, needed a bit of grease in the ratchet arm but other than that it’s 100% worth it.

Reed Tools, how can you go wrong!! I have been using Reed Brand Tools for over 30 years and have never experianced tool failure outside normal maintanance. ie: cutter wheel replacement or frozen, rusted roller bearings. I purchased this tool to use on water main flange bolts and am very satisfied with my purchase. It is not made to reach flange bolts in a ditch unless you've excavated ample dirt to get the tool under the pipe, but it works great above ground. This tool also fits the 4 main bolt sizes used in the water main industry, is a well constructed and durable tool. Will last a lifetime!

yes, i gave a new reed tool to the crews, replacing the worn out tool, that are utilized just about for everything in the pipe business.

I use these tools as a millwright to help with the Bull Horns in a GE turbine unit. They are a live saver and won't damage your knuckles

Liked that it goes 1 1/16, 1 1/8 and 1 1/4. Disliked that it was 15/16 instead of 1 (I wonder if the 15/16 sees more acrion than the 1).Takes some time to getting used to finding the size label but not too crucial.

good quality "REED" strong tool , no sockets to carry.
