Very efficent and quiet.
I found this frig worked exceptionally well on my recent two week camping trip that was primarily powerd by solar. I kept the fridge at 31 F and it kept it my meat cold and that was frozen initially stayed frozen until I moved it to the top of the basket and thawed out a couple days. It did not use very much electricity and I was very pleased with that. With my 21 year old Norcold frig, I would drain my battery unless I shut it off before bed time. With this Frig, In eco mode, I would start off at 8 PM with 12.7 volts, I could use this frig, along with my fantastic fan (all night), florescent house lights for 3 hours, six hundred watt inverter for 2 hours and still wake up with a healthy 12.3 volts from my 2 80 AH AGM batteries. I also sometimes was not on level surfaces and it worked fine. I could also finally sleep very well. In eco mode it is very quiet. In regular mode it made some noise but it was not bad and it would switch to eco mode once it got to temperature. The ambient temperatures, inside the vehicle, during my camping trip was between 50 F and 87 F. I did not notice any degradation on hotter days. I also did not really give the frig much area to exhaust heat from and it was not noticeable in the van. I am not going to have to carry a generator now, it is great, totally solar!

Awesome for price & economy
Now that I've had the unit for close to a month I think I can review & rate it. I'll start out saying...I'm impressed! The unit came packed VERY well. It was pretty well surrounded with firm packing Styrofoam with the unit in a plastic bag. And that box was in a slightly larger box for additional cushion. The only "assembly" required is putting the handles on, and that was a breeze. There are slots that fit into the mounts so alignment was fast. They are sturdy handles & very firm/secure.I need to add at this point that I'm a retired Owner Operator Trucker & now a full-time RV'er. I wish I'd had one of these when in my truck! Needless to say, this unit runs 24/7. It has been perfect so far.The digital readout is a little on the bright side - works well for a nightlight! 🐸 It is actually quieter on the high mode than the economy mode for power, but after a couple of hours you have to stop & listen to hear the unit running on eco mode. It seems to run 2, maybe 3 times an hour for 5-8 minutes each time. According to my inverter readout, on Hi it draws about 68-73 watts. Eco mode runs between 42-49 watts. I run it off my 750 watt inverter, which runs everything in my "mobile tiny home". I haven't used the 12v cord yet..so no comment on it. I spend 85% or more of my time off-grid.As far as accuracy dealing with the temp readout on the unit...yes, it does show a colder temp than a remote temp sensor I have in the unit. But when the unit falls down to the bottom of the interior the difference in the two readouts is 2° or less. As you can see in the picture, I now have it mounted almost exactly in the middle of the unit. I keep the unit set at 31°, my readout consistently reads 37° to 40°. I'm pretty sure the unit reads temp from the interior wall/walls which is where the cooling takes place. Have not had anything go "bad", to include half & half that stayed good till empty & 3 days past "use by" date. 👍🐸In short...I'm overly impressed with the unit. It fulfills everything you would want or need in a portable fridge. Craftsman ship is excellent. Power consumption is excellent. I highly recommend this item!

Took a chance...I WON!!!
Was shopping for a fridge for my van. Had my mind set on a different model, smaller lid hinged on the side. Amazon put this on sale, I jumped at it.Running almost constantly for two and a half months now. Just a short test! Runs great! Gets cold fast! I've shut it down several times for durations of a few hours to a couple of days. Comes right back up, no problem.Question is...will it freeze? YES!!! I put something on the lid where it sat on the adjustment buttons and inadvertently brought the temp down all the way. I wound up with six frozen cans of soda and a mess at the bottom of the fridge. YES, IT WILL FREEZE!

I had to return the first unit - replacement is great
First off, I love this car fridge. We are going to use it for RV camping. When I received it I ran it from warm to -02 degrees is about an hour. In my car, as long as the car was running it did fine but I did notice that once I shut it off - the battery saver set on low only kept it running about 15 minutes. I decided to replace my car battery but hae not retested this part. When it was charging on A/C, the plug on the fridge side got very warm. When I unplugged it from the unit to switch to the DC plug, the connector came out of the fridge. Amazon replaced the unit for a new one in 2 days. Now I plan to not unplug the a/c cord until the connector cools down on the new one. You can see this issue in my photo. Also, I bought the case cover they sell and I am very happy with the cover and the straps that it provides. I can use the straps to hold the unit vertical as I drive, and it helps keep the fridge from the super hot car temperature. It also has pockets to hold the manual and the extra power cords. This seems to be a good value at the price I paid.

Updated
Have had this for a few months now, it still cools good can take a long time to cool warm drinks so best to put drinks in that are cold already. The problem I am having now is when charging through a 12 volt car battery I get a E1 trouble code. I searched out what it means and they state it is low battery. Replaced battery twice and installed a new 160 amp alternator. When vehicle is running it don’t show that code but when ac is on it does randomly. Battery is a 840 ca interstate and alternator is a new 160 amp. So I ended up getting a 2000 watt generator to run it seems ok but disappointed that it will not maintain on battery. The unit works but after time using it, it has problems with running under a 12 car battery. There are settings but it doesn’t help no matter what I set it at.So far this company does not stand behind their products and my return is only good for one month. Do not waste your money works briefly very good then starts having problems.
