I bought this during the COVID pandemic when all of the nail salons were closed. I continue to use it, and in fact, have not been back to the salon at all. Very easy to use. I recommend the two minute timeframe for the curing process rather than the one minute time frame.

I have been wanting a gel polish kit for years and after a lot of research I finally bought this one! I love it! Regular nail polish peels off of my nails within 48 hours no matter how I prep, I have tried countless polish brands and tactics to get it to stay on. The very first time I did this it was a little messy becuse the polish is thicker than I am used to so once it cured there was a lot of over flow on the sides of my nails. I just used a nail file to clean up around my nails once the gel polish hardened - on my first try the polish stayed on for A WEEK before I started picking it off to change the look, it would lift a bit in corners here and there but I would just throw some top coat on and recure it to fix that. .. to get the French I used REGULAR polish and then the gel top coat and it cured it perfectly! You just have to wait for the regular polish to dry completely. I’m really happy with this purchase.

I went with this kit because I had ordered the other, more popular kit and it never showed up. I wanted to be able to do my nails at home and save some money. Let me start off by saying, I am terrible at doing my own nails! After watching videos and reading through reviews, I finally felt confident enough to try this myself. A few tips:-First, make sure your nails are clean and buffed before you use the base coat. I even started using a swipe of alcohol before I start and find this works well.-THIN COATS! Other reviewers have said this and I cannot stress this enough. I’m in the bad habit of trying to put the thickest coat of regular polish on my nails. This is not regular polish! I start with a thin coat of base coat, cure for 30 seconds, then two or three THIN coats of color, cure each for 30 seconds and the thinnest top coat and cure for 60 seconds. I’ve found that this works the best.-Make sure to wipe any polish off your skin. If it gets on your skin around your nail, it WILL begin to lift in a few days.-This goes along with the thin coats. I thought I had to wipe the top coat with alcohol when I was done (this is common with some gels to remove the tackiness at the end) but the most recent time I used this I did the thinnest coat possible of top coat and it wasn’t tacky at all once cured.-I use the 30 second option because it seems like it’s the brightest and “highest”, the 60 and 120 option are not as bright of a light.The colors were not really what I was expecting but I love this mauvey purple and I’m glad I have a white for summer. Otherwise, I’ve bought other gel colors from Sally’s to use and they work just as good with this light. It really takes patience and attention to detail, but once you get the hang of it it’s not that bad.Overall, I would definitely recommend this kit for someone who is looking to try to do their own nails at home. It comes with everything you would need. Light, cuticle pusher, nail clippers, buffer and file, nail brush, top and base coat and seems to be on the cheaper side of these kits. I’m very impressed!

Why did it take me so long to get my own gel set to do my own gel nails?!? I’ve always hated getting my nails done because the nail tech is too rough or it can get too expensive to up keep. The last time I got my nails done ‘professionally’ ended up a disaster so I haven’t been back. It can’t get worse then the last time so I order this kit to do myself. Now I can literally do it in the comfort of my own home and can get creative and fun with my nails. I’m so in love with this set because it includes pretty much everything I need to do a full set of gel nails. The only thing I would add to this set is some cuticle oil as that completes my nail routine 😍 it comes with a couple of colors although I’ve only used one so far, it looks really pretty and the top coat is nice and shiny. Hopefully with a little practice my nails my set will look better with each time. Hopefully the gel nails last a couple weeks with how rough I am I with my nails.

Hey all since COVID-19 happened I have gone to any salons to get anything done but I’ve decided I wanted to start doing my nails again so I bought this kit. It had good reviews and the price was nice so I took a chance. It’s great 😊! I did every step it told me to do when it came to preparing my nails for painting and it turned out pretty good. Like I’m not good at it so I’m not gonna post my nails but it’s the exact quality of gel nail and UV light as a salon; you’re just doing it yourself. I didn’t like how the pink nail polish seemed after I rolled it before opening, it’s consistency is a little watery. But it came with several and I have yet to open them. It comes with a base coat, a matte coat and regular top coat. It’s an impressive little kit! It also comes with cuticle oil, files, nail clipper, cuticle remover, duster and a few other things you’ll find handy. I hope this helps your decision, I would definitely buy this again.

The media could not be loaded. Overall product is okay. When I opened the box, one of the polish seemed to be leaking. Also the top coat is now a paste goo that I don’t think it’s supposed to be that way. I had to dry several times to make the gel cured. Also the top coat smells and feels like your nails are burning a bit.Have only been able to use the matte top coat but would like to use the glossy one. Started chipping within a week, but does what I need for something quick.
