Minnetonka Men's Double Deerskin Softsole

Wow! Right out of the box these slippers are so comfortable! Soft and pliable leather, beautifully constructed, and a perfect fit! Thought they were slightly too loose (I usually wear a 12 to 13 US - I ordered a size 12) but tying the lace a little tighter resulted in a perfect fit. My big toe is about 1 inch from the top of the toe box and allows a little toe flex without crimping my toes together. The insole is one piece with a thin layer of memory foam between the insole and outer sole. The outer sole is one piece wrapped to include the slipper sides.

these were so soft and comfortable right out of the box. no break in needed. they just conform to your feet.

These were a Christmas gift for my son, he said they were a little loose but tied them to fit perfect. He is very pleased. As far as size they seam to be true to size. I ordered another pair for my other son because he said I would like a pair of moccasins for Christmas, I thought only small children want the same thing, apparently not lol😀. Ordered my regular shoe size and was very disappointed when I first tried them on. They were way too big - a half size or more too long and very loose on the sides. I put them back and the box to return them, but before doing so, I decided to re-read the reviews. Some said they were too big, some said they were too small. Others mentioned adjusting the laces, so I thought I'd give that a try. It was a bit hard pulling the laces, but I was able to get the laces about a half inch tighter on each side and retied them. It worked! The mocs now fit just right in length and width, with just the right amount of snugness across the top of the foot. Very happy now with the fit. The mocs seem very well made and the deerskin is soft and comfortable. I'll just be wearing them around the house and hope they last a long time.

I sure like these for wearing around the house and in the patio and such, even though they cost too much. Very comfortable. Nice deer skin. I was surprised to see that they are made in the Dominican Republic, but I suppose I haven’t worn a pair of American-made shoes for 30 or 40 years.

I wasn’t planning to spend $100 on an indoor shoe but these are worth it. The double deerskin sole makes all the difference. I can walk my dog outside on uneven grass without pain even from small stones and dirt in our country “pasture” grass here in Virginia. Size does run large - I usually wear 11 wide but after reading reviews here I ordered 10 medium and they were perfect. They stretched out in a couple of weeks and I needed to tighten them a little with the laces. The laces kept coming loose until I used a square knot pulled VERY tightly before finishing the bow. Worked great. Following the advice of another reviewer who claimed to be a Native American I treated them with saddle soap and mink oil. It worked great for waterproofing enough to make them comfortable in wet grass. It also made them more comfortable without socks. I’ve redone the mink oil several times and it really helps. Just for fun I’ve worn them shopping at Home Depot a couple of times. They were comfortable but I worried about wearing out the soles so haven’t done it much. Back when it wasn’t politically incorrect I loved to play “Cowboys and Indians” with my brothers. I was always the Indian sneaking quietly through the forest in moccasins. This fits a childhood fantasy- highly recommended!

Excellent fit . They are the most comfortable slippers you can wear. Made from very soft leather.
