Thunderbolts.. Mach I!
Completely unexpected figure for me. I know there’s a Citizen V, I also know there is also a Songbird. But I guessed this team wouldn’t have gotten much attention. Here’s hoping they do more for this team. So, small backstory here. Mach I is a member of the Thunderbolts team, or one of the members of that team. It has grown and changed quite a bit since they came out.The team came out shortly after the Avengers fell to the events of Onslaught. A bunch of villains posing as heroes, when they was actually the (Masters of Evil) it made for a fun story and with some twists.I’ve seen them compared to DC’s Suicide Squad. But these guys started out posing as heroes, not villains forced to do heroic things in hopes of reducing their sentence or just a heel turn.Interestingly enough, Mach I here was The Beetle, Abner Jenkins. Probably one of the longest running members of this branch of the Thunderbolts, or he stuck around the longest I’d say. Memory is a little rusty on this. Somewhere along the way though, Abner liked being a hero more than a villain and that’s something I really liked, especially since it stuck. I can’t think of too many characters in Marvel that did this, I’m sure there are some but Abner actually got redemption and stayed a hero for the most part.Unlike Otto‘s Superior Spider-Man run, the Infamous Iron Man, or other characters hit by the AXIS event.More onto the figure, accessories is really lacking.Accessories:- Abomination Build-A-Figure HeadThat’s right, on one hand there’s not too many things they could’ve gave this guy. But a interchangeable set of hands or a unmasked head would’ve been better than nothing. If anything a head of Abner Jenkins would’ve benefited two separate figures (no telling if we’ll get Mach II, Mach III, Mach IV, Mach V, Mach VII, or Mach X) this guy, and the previously released Beetle figure.ARTICULATION:Even though his flight pack of his is attached to his vest/body (looks like it could come off if you really wanted to)His armor or the shoulder pads, happy to say.. It does NOT limit his arm’s movement or his head.I’m kind of uneasy moving his ankles, I don’t know when they started doing this but apparently it gives a nice ankle pivot so it’s hard to complain. For whatever reason this figure also doesn’t have a boot area articulation, where it could rotate.Strangely enough his feet pegs are bigger than some figures. So, you can’t fit the repulsor blasts in his feet to look like he’s in flight (like an Iron Man figure) or the ground flames that come with the Iron Man 2020 figure. So.. That’s a downer.Things I also wished they did with this figure:- His flight pack, there’s places they could’ve put some pegs/holes for putting the repulsor effects. To give him more of a in flight pose.- He has interesting pegs on parts of his body. Such as his forearm joints and the side of his calves. They’re deeper than some of the other Marvel Legends figures I’ve seen. So, maybe some improvising or effects could be placed in them (pictured, tried some of the repulsor effects)- Swappable hands, he looks like he could hold something. Closed hands, open hands/open hands with a peg inside would be nice. Feels like that should be the norm for a power armor character.- Effects, in the comics Abner has some firepower. Something that looks like missles, or a projectile would’ve been nice, hell I’d have been happy if they gave him some rolled up or blueprints for the next Mach armor or something. Just feels like a missed opportunity here.OVERALL LOOK:I don’t mind at all, I feel like he could’ve used some minor details on the face, maybe some detail on the white parts of his amor. Some shading or a metal/silver like shine to it.There’s parts of his body that reminds me of the Ultimate Spider-Man Beetle armor. I honestly feel like a person that specializes in custom figures might have some fun with this figure. Maybe trying their take of members of the Jury or something I clearly am not thinking of at the moment.Still, one thing this figure has done is inspired me to re-read the Thunderbolts stories. He was easily one of my favorite characters in that title.I’m not holding my breath on other or upgraded versions of his armor. But again, I didn’t expect this figure in the first place and I was pleasantly surprised. Hopefully we get a Mach IV or one of his recent models. If not, they still made an awesome choice picking this armor in my eyes.If you’re a fan of the character, or hell.. You just like the look of him. I wouldn’t pass up Mach I.

no little pieces
I like this toy because it has no weapons and still, a child can play safely with it, it says it comes with small pieces I yet to see. Overall, a very nice toy for a 5-year-old.

Boil!!!
It's a good figure. It doesn't pose well. Articulation from the knees down is bad. I put that part in boiling water. Not long by any means. 10 sec. Did it couple times. Now he poses pretty good.

It's just ok.
Very nice to look at but really lacks character. This figure has a very hard time adjusting it to stand up. I have noticed that certain figures like this one are somewhat smaller then others, when they say 6in figures. Not really worth the dollar amount. I do like that is a different figure I have now to collect. Not worth more than $12 to $15 max.

Horrible packaging.
Was damaged because it was in a plastic bag. It’s a twenty dollar figure and they put it in a five scent bag. Boxes are not expensive.
