Good replacement
Works very well stopping solids and sand but if you also have a very fine silt problem in addition to the granular this filter might become part of the problem by stopping your water flow.For me even the 100 micron filter gets clogged up to quickly.

Good filter - does the job
Use it in conjunction with a whole-house filter. Had to call iSpring for help with the order. Nick was outstanding and a great help to me. Will purchase additional filters to have as spares.

Excellent filter
Never realized the amount of particulate iron in our water. After using this filter screen for about 6 months, I bought the replacement to keep on hand so I would be able to clean the original. Weekly flushing of the spin down keeps it flowing but a good removal and cleaning of the screen every 6 months is much more thorough. When the screen dries, more iron dust drop out by tapping on a piece of paper.

Good product
This worked but was smaller than the original one. I have it on auto so I replace every 3 months.

Screen has short life
I use this filter as the first stage of filtration in my well water. I clean it using the scraper about twice a week and remove it around every 3 months to clean it with a brush. I've learned that the seam on the stainless steel screen rips open in about 6 to 8 months.

Good fit
My 50 micron filter was too restrictive--this 100 micron seems fine--I don't have the problem with it clogging nearly as often....
