Rotating Ginger Grater/Zester, Stainless Steel

Works absolutely great for grating Ginger. Not so much for garlic. Ginger is so fiberous it's worthwhile for me to have this one use item in my kitchen. It's very compact so not a problem to store when not in use.

I love that this grater can be used to grate fresh ginger or to zest citrus. It is easy to grip in one hand with the other hand controlling the ginger or the citrus. It also has the ability to store the grated product as it is produced. No more bits everywhere or dishes that tip over. Wish I had found this grater a long time ago.

I was very excited to try this grater, it had been recommended by Milk Street. Works great for garlic, ginger, and citrus peel but has one unfortunate flaw. The bottom that catches the gratings is supposed to secure to the top, but it does not and it would be much less cumbersome if it did. Sometimes the first version of an item is where they learn to make better on the second. Looking forward to your upgrade and hope you provide an incentive to try it, or perhaps I received one that doesn't connect?

Great small wonder that saves time , potential cuts to fingers and provides a grated spice that is ready in a fraction of the time using your knife .Every Kitchen should have one. It is small enough that I am considering taking it on a three week Villa stay in Hawaii.

Ginger can be tough to grate but this little grater does a great job!

Out of the box, this grater is fantastic. It is easy to use and made short work of ginger and citrus peels. By the third use, however, I cannot get the bottom to fit tightly back to the top, so it is now really difficult to use. I only have one hand, so cannot hold the unit while grating something. I use a nonslip, sticky surface to secure the base while using it, but the top, grater portion keeps slipping off, making it unusable. for me. There does not appear to be a way to lock the base to the grater top, or I haven't figured it out yet. If I could get it to function as it did initially, I would highly recommend this gadget.
