I actually bought this to use to keep a thermal wrap from unraveling when I cut it. However, there is no information as to the highest temperature it can withstand without degrading. I tested it on my stove and it looks like it will work. But some real data from the manufacturer would be nice. As an insulator at room temperature, it looks like it would work well.
