Bates Motel: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]

I bought this for myself because I loved watching it on Netflix (over and over). I’m on season one and so far the quality of the picture is better and I have noticed a few scenes that were not on the Netflix.Really good movie

Great buy despite case being broke/loose disc's.

First off, shipping was very slow. It took me a couple weeks after ordering to receive this. So, when I received this, it had damage to the box, as shown. I was going to contact the seller to ask about this, but when I went into the listing to do so, I realized that there was a notice that it was a dvd that may not play on US DVD players. I accessed this listing through the price comparison feature & I was not aware that you could get listings out of the country by doing this. This is concerning because, when you price compare, you are unable to access the product description & you are only able to add it to your cart. I tested it on my Xbox, & it played. The differences between seasons is a bit different from other dvd box sets that I’ve seen in that every season’s menu has a completely different feel & functionality to it; it doesn’t feel cohesive. Also, most of the seasons have some kind of glitch where, if you pause the dvd long enough for the screen saver to come on, the button to unpause will no longer work & you have to restart the entire Xbox in order to continue watching. This is definitely annoying. Other than that, the show was as great as I remembered & I enjoyed the special features. Just be careful buying this if you’re in the states. While it does play on my Xbox, I have no idea if it will play on a regular US DVD player.

Glad to have this but my god, could Universal have given LESS concern to how it is presented??For starters, they have made NO effort whatsoever to make this a cohesive collection -- they have just repacked previous season releases into a box set.Fine -- I get the economics of that. But that means NONE of the discs are properly labelled so it's very easy to get them mixed up. Granted each season's discs have different photos - good luck remembering which is which. The first thing I had to do was go through them all and put sticky labels on each disc.Because of all the un-skippable nonsense of anti-piracy and pointless UNIVERSAL! intros, it takes up to a full 2 minutes to load every time you insert a disc (not including the annoying commercial for other stuff you don't want on some of the discs.The menus are different for each season, also annoying. The extra features are scant at best, primarily deleted scenes and a few bonus features for each season. No commentaries or new retrospectives. Every addition found here are leftovers from previous releases.No inserts to tell you what the bonus features are or on which discs to find them. The book-like packaging holding the portfolio of discs had broken free of the shell container even before I took off the shrink-wrap. I had the same issue with the BOARDWALK EMPIRE series set -- terrible packaging choices.Overall, the set is worth having, but it's a shamelessly half-assed presentation. The show and the fans willing to pay for this high-end product deserve better.

Amazon packed well, no issues with damage to packaging. Priced well.The show itself, it's Psycho but young Norman Bates, set in modern times. The acting is brilliant and the cast is A+ and I am sad it ended. If you have work and no personal life you can watch this in about 2 weeks in a binge watch. Excellent show, very happy to have this in my collection.

I've been looking for the right box everywhere, but I'm afraid most Europeans have to deal with this edition.It's 1 box inside of a cardboard sleeve, which is a cheap design. Considering lots of people buy DVDs and Box sets as collector items, I expected more for this price.The layout of the box is quite messy and because the DVDs do not click in place very well, some discs are loose inside, which can cause them to get scratched.However, the series is amazing!
