Healthy ingredients in established amounts for dog food. Dogs love it and well packaged. Company reliable on quality. No recalls that I could find.

We have been using Annamaet dog food for our dogs for about 6 years now. They are about 7 years old. They never tire of it and they are very healthy with beautiful coats. We used to be able to get this in the locally-owned grocery store we went to in Montana, but haven't found a local source where we live now in Show Low, Arizona. I am very glad we can keep our dogs on this brand of food, thank you Amazon.

Good news - my Boyz seem to love the food. I'm still in the switching over stage, up to 50/50 with the old food, and noticed that both of them push the food around in their bowls to eat the bits of this food first. Good sign.The ingredient list is very good, and it does not contain any of the ingredients suspected by the FDA to be causing cardiomyopathy in dogs and cats, in both breeds susceptible, and somewhat less so in breeds not susceptible.I've done a bunch of research on the current problem (have done quant work for epidemiologists.) The FDA shows a relationship to peas. I don't think so. I'm sure it's pea derivative powders, like (as shown on labels) pea protein, pea fiber, dried pea extract). They're protein extracts from peas, and when used increase the rated protein level in the foods. You won't find a dog food with peas that doesn't also have pea powders of some sort... at least not in the couple hundred that I analyzed.Why do I suspect the powders? The majority of pea derivative powders in the US are imported, manufactured and sold by Chinese companies. A few US companies sell the powders... that they bought from China. China has had two major scandals where they were doctoring powdered protein products. in one, they were adding melamine to infant formula powders. Melamine tests as a protein, but it's godawful toxic. Killed babies. There was a separate scandal where they were adding melamine to powdered proteins used in pet food manufacturing, killed a lot of pets. So... fool us twice, shame on us. I went on a search for foods WITHOUT pea derivatives to be safe since my dogs' breed has some susceptibility to cardiomyopathy. This food doesn't have any pea derivatives (or peas.) I'm sure it's not melamine this time, but something else. (I got a call from the FDA to come visit after sending them a letter, so... maybe I'm on to something.)For the distributor. You need to have a SERIOUS talk with Amazon. They just put the bag in a box, with one strip of tape on all the seams. NOT ENOUGH. My bag of dog food arrived by itself, with completely opened, on every seam, box sitting next to it. Bless UPS for keeping the pieces together. Amazon's not good at shipping heavy stuff, this the sixth or seventh delivery where the item I'd ordered was delivered next to a wrecked box.

My Siberian Husky (rescued) dog has been eating Annamaet food for several years and loves it. She had been eating another brand, but the size and texture were changed by the manufacturer and my dog wouldn't eat it. Her coat is thicker and at nearly 13 years old, she still has the energy of a much younger dog. The nutrition levels are good for an adult dog and the sources of ingredients are stated.

good quality kibble, family owned, my dog prefers the ultra flavor but this one is also good

A pet store owner recommended this after telling her about my dog not doing well on all dog foods tried. I tried the top brands and they all made her sick. This has worked out very good for her. Firm stools and she loves it!!Amazon needs to put paper on top of the dog food bag because when opening box with box cutter I came close to tearing the dog food bag. Much too close to top of box so please put paper padding on top. Both sides! Thank you!
