What a difference an Elastic band makes! lol
Great for PF relief! I have had this Painful Plantar Factitious since the summer of 2013 now and it is not getting any better. I have tried all those pads and supports and junk that you put in your shoes with very little relief if any. The ONLY store bought products that have really made my foot not ache 24-7 is this dumb elastic band and a pair of Birkenstock "Berkies" Sandals, the ones with the black rubbery insoles (never tried the cork ones) . I love these Support bands. they actually let me wear a brand new pair of sneakers I bought but ended up not being able to wear because they don't have the correct arch support. I read the reviews here and decided Id give these a shot. I never would have bought them if not for all the positive reviews, Lol and to my surprise, they did work. and work great as well. I wear it over my sock and can use my old work boots, sneakers and even go barefoot around the house (but only do this very little because your PF will still flare up if you go Barefoot too much! (which is where the Berkies come in handy!) In the evenings ill wear it on my barefoot and while I sleep i wear it as well, it really helps for when you get up at 1 am and need to go to the bathroom...lol no more hobbling along trying not to put any weight on the foot! When I bought this, I also bought the other one here on Amazon that is a Velcro strap with a harder foam pad to push up on the arch, that works well too but I like these because you cant really tell its there except for the fact that your PF isn't painful. Who'd a thunk a simple elastic band would actually work? Had I known, I would have bought this a year ago! lol Oh, I find for me that when I put this on, I position the seam un the underside of my foot in the arch area and it seems to be more supportive.

Trying it again for round two
I bought this for a case of PF that had been bothering me for a couple of months. I thought that by wearing it at night that my arch would be pulled up and would not be pulled when I took my first steps. The only problem was that it was so snug that it would make my foot hurt at night. I wear a men's size 11 and have a normal width foot. It is fine during the day though so I wore it then. I also bought the 5-minute PF book and notice marked improvement. I stopped wearing the band and kept stretching. The problem was that I also kept doing all of my trail running and climbing activities, so I think I kept re-injuring my foot.So...I noticed improvement with this and stretching. I kept up my activities and my PF is really acting up now. I'm now going back for round two with this and will also do stretching. I will post an update if I can ever lick this nagging PF issue.

They really work. I was skeptical but they really work!
I couldn't believe how quickly these helped stop my flat feet from being so painful. They aren't a miracle cure. They don't make I feel like I'm walking on clouds all day. But it's SUBSTANTIALLY better than going without them. My feet still get sore, but not nearly as bad.The material is a strong elastic. It's thicker and not as stretchy as an ACE bandage. So it gives firm support and is flexible, but doesn't stretch to the point where it's not doing anything.I've only had them a few days, but I fee like they will hold up well over time. If you try them and like them, I'd suggest getting a second pair to alternate between, rather than wearing the same set every day.UPDATEI've been wearing this daily for 7 months. They are a life changing product!

Latex Free...Love them for that and for how well they work. I have a size 7 medium womens foot.
I have 6 pairs I think now of these. They work well for me. I have chronic edema and this helps in the lower foot when I skip an hour or two putting on my lower compression socks now and again and sometimes for reasons not my fault such as doctor visits etc. Anyway if that happens fluids can build up in the lower foot and across the arch of the foot and it can take days if not weeks to reduce and these help. Also one foot has PF and this seems to help. I have even worn them to bed over night. Biggest KUDOS is they are latex free and this company is happy to let you know that on the product itself when it comes. I so appreciate that. I have bought similar ones that come and are latex and sometimes they do not state it but if you smell the rubber scent you know...quite often it states it is latex and then you are screwed. So honesty pays when it comes to latex disclosure. And no this is not a new condition. I've been latex senstive since 1953 when I was hit by a drunk driver (an ex cop at that) in Billings MT. I was three years old. I developed a severe reaction to any of the adhesives the hospital attempted to use. They warned my folks to watch for senstivities and allergies to all rubber products. And for many this is a very real and scary condition. Can be life threatening like bee stings even. SO KUDOS again to FlexaMEd for being Latex free.

Did not really work for me.
These bandages don't really do much for me. I will say, I do use them when I'm in a cool-down period as that is when my arch gets cramps, so with the pressure kind helps out with the cramping. However, when I use these actively they make my feet cramp and hurt after a period of time. I think it's because it's not only my arch that's being compressed but rather the whole area of my foot that's covered by the bandage. So other parts of my foot are being compressed that don't need to be compressed, which I believe leads to the cramping. This only happens when I'm active with the bandages on.So, I can say they feel good after a work out if you need some pressure in your arch while you rest/elevate your feet. They don't feel good when active for a period of time longer than 15 minutes or so.This is my experience using the flexamed arch bandage on MY feet.

Comodas
Son muy cómodas, pero se van aflojando conforme el uso y eso que no me las pongo diario. Le dan un buen soporte a el pie, pero si te las describiera es como una tobillera elástica muy sencilla

They provide a good deal of support
I found these to be very helpful. They provide a good deal of support. They can be worn with an arch support and even lessen pain if barefoot. They are comfortable enough to be worn all day.

I could have made this myself in 5 minutes for $1.
This is not what I expected at all. It is simply a piece of elastic sewn into a loop. I could have made this myself in a few minutes. The sewn edges are not flat and scratch my foot. Not a helpful device at all.
