We have been hanging all sorts of things on our walls in our apartment, and the very last thing I wanted to do was put multiple holes in the wall if I missed a wall stud. I decided to go with this stud detector because of the LCD screen and so far I’ve been very impressed. The wall stud finder informed me exactly where the studs behind my walls were and have so far made hanging up a mirror in our bedroom a breeze. What’s great about this detector is that it is rechargeable (charger included), and also includes a carrying pouch and wrist strap. In addition to being handy, this stud finder also helps promote safety when doing projects around the house. You can rest easy knowing that your mounted mirrors, TVs, and other heavy items will not fall down, and that you won't be drilling into any wires.

This is a great device that combines a laser measure that can measure from the front or the back of the device in direct laser sight of the item to be measured. It also combines a stud sensor that has additional features that detect metal and electrical wires hidden in the wall. It is easy to use. The display and buttons are easy to use and read. Updating settings is easy and they are presented in an easy to understand menu.It is rechargeable using a usb cable and recharging is a reasonable time. Nice that i can do so much with a single device.Happy with my purchase.

This is very handy tool to have it in the house so you can use it to check before you drill or nail something on the wall. I do like the laser distance measurement feature so I can quickly get good estimated measurement without taking out the long tape measurement.

The instructions are in very tiny print, and some words are poorly translated. The tool IS easy to use. As with ALL wall scanners, there are deficiencies. Using one daily will teach you what they are and how to translate false readings.This is the best wall scanner I have used. Learn it's defects.The newer the wall, the better any scanner works. Layers of paint, years of moisture, wall paper, textures, etc.. WILL terminate the accuracy of any wall scanner. The years of weather, and gravity will convince any wall scanner that void spots are dense spots.This scanner will give you the information you need in a 90 year old home's ceiling of plaster and mesh with compacted insulation. (If you use it enough to learn what it is trying to say)

It’s a great tool for a regular household. It can be use to measure and detect metals and wires. I use it a lot regularly to install nails and new decorations. The quality and the screen view is great.

Bought this just to find the stud and hang lights on the ceiling... jobe done, pretty easy and this device is more than I thought. It detects stud with different functions for metal or wood and has a very snappy click, by that I mean it only pops right on the stud. My boss's stud detector starts accusing the stud way before so you have to go a few times and find the middle. With this one, I usually only get the alarm of the stud right on top of the stud. And it did find the stud behind the tile.As you can see in the pic, the buttons for one function, stud finder or distance meter, are set in opposite directions. So when using the distance meter the buttons for the stud finder are upside down.In the distance meter, there are other functions like add and subtract, calculate area, area of a triangle, etc. Very easy to get a construction estimate made, Another feature that helps a lot is the memory, everything is saved, just click to go back and everything is there even the calculations. Very useful. The distance meter was withing less than 1/16 ' ' of my tape measure and pretty much even with my boss distance meter which was way more expensive. so yes, I'm very happy with this tool.

I bought this mostly for stud finder use, but hoping the electrical and metal detection would be useful.Out of the box the stud finder was tough to use. I had to read the manual several times and even then I had to do a LOT of research on how to use a stud finder. Eventually I was able to get okay results with this product, but it is incredibly noisy (I never found a way to turn the beeping off, but you can turn off the voice).I returned this stud finder and ordered a different one (the horizontal one with about 6 or 7 light indicators) and right out of the box I got consistently good results with no annoying beeping sounds.In summary: there are better stud finders out there. If you think this is difficult to use, it isn't your fault, it really just is difficult to use.

I had recently moved to a different place and I had to fix a new TV on my wall. I don’t like the wiring on my walls so I felt I should place the wires inside the wall. After multiple failed attempts of buying a stud finder/scanner from a local store, I have decided to shop online. This product has helped me perfectly finish my work. What I liked about this product is that it does multiple jobs in one place. It does not only detect the studs but it also detects any kind of metal or construction wires (really impressive). I have worked for two days on this machine and I have no complaints so far, The battery has not dried out, the laser worked just accurately. If you are a newbie like me and want to accomplish multiple works with the same machine, I will definitely suggest this.
