Clorox Spa 50016CSP Antifoam, 16-Ounce

The Clorox Spa 50016CSP Antifoam works perfectly in a hot tub application. Whenever my hot tub starts to foam I use some of this product and there is instant results. It is also very reasonably priced when compared to other options.

Update: in fairness, I had to go back and update my review when I understood what this product was supposed to do. Initially, I thought it was an additive that you added to spa water that kept your hot tub foam free every day. I did not realize that it was a temporary fix you added it and it kept the water foam free for a couple of hours. That said, it does exactly what it supposed to do, and does it very very well, to the point that I have ordered more. How is expecting a long-term fix not a short-term fix and that was a misunderstanding on my part so I’ve come back to update to five stars in fairness to the product. Just understood That this is not an Additive that you put in once and you have no more phone forever. You need to use this every time you use your hot tub until you get the water changed and correct the foaming problem that you have. It is a Band-Aid for an issue that you’re having, not a long-term fix. Understand that and you’ll be very happy. I think a lot of the negative reviews were like mine, folks just didn’t understand what it was supposed to do.Tried 3 treatments over 5 weeks in a spa with a mild foam issue. This product didn’t improve the issue at all. Refilled spa and put this in as a preventative, foam is present. I’m confident that if I hadn’t if used this in the refill, I would have been ok. 4 treatments, a small amount used, and the rest is in the trash. Avoid it, you are wasting your money.

Product works quickly and prevents future foam buildup. Definitely recommend.

It’s like magic and works immediately! Works to stretch out the time between a a complete drain and fill and clean. Dirty foam is disgusting and you should drain and clean your jacuzzi as soon as you see it. Problem is, my wife uses body lotion and makeup and stuff and she’s not going to do a complete shower before she gets in so this works for a while, towards the end of the bottle, it became very apparent I needed to clean the filters and drain and clean the jacuzzi every 60 days, maybe sooner.

I don't own a hot tub or swimming pool but I do own a rug doctor, If you have one you know that you need an Anti-Foam agent for recovery tank or an overfilled with suds, Just a few drops are all it takes, your experience may be different depending on how soft your water is. Clorox Spa Is extremely concentrated 1 teaspoon will treat 200 gallons in the pool or hot tub, Rug doctor recovery tank is less than 3 gallons. this makes it cheaper than purchasing rug doctor Anti-Foam at the store.

BUBBLES-B-GONE is what this should be called! Just a capful of this Clorox antifoam fluid and it kills the bubbles off in just several seconds! This is one product whose price point is either right one target or is actually too low. Either way I am VERY HAPPY with this product and have purchased it one other time and will definitely be purchasing it again in the near future for my hot tub!
