Bent after one use pulling my 33’ camper, about 8,500 lbs. I couldn’t hardly remove the pin because it was bent so bad. I do not recommend this pin for any type of towing.

Likes: Fit, both the pin to 5/8" receiver hole, and the useable pin length. have free but not sloppy feel. The "no key to lock" deal is handy. Price, good value for $15. Shipping and packaging, excellent.Dislikes: O-ring seal on lock side, it's the first contact point when the pin slides to the lock side. It contacts the edges of the receiver 5/8" hole. Won't last long, so take it off and go buy 5-10 more just like it as backup. Otherwise, without it, your lock will corrode, doesn't matter what it's made out of, it eventually will. Final issue for manufacturer / seller, state the weight the pin tested out at. This is a key safety component , I need to compare it's fail weight to my hitch (21K lbs class IV, 1200 lbs tounge), then my ball (20K lbs GTW) and finally, when all else fails, my safety chains (12K lbs break strength). You state...for the critical pin keeping my safety chains untested....nothing.... that I could find? Am I missing it?IMO - Any and all of these key type tumbler locks are able to be picked. If someone with those skills wants your stuff, it's gone. However, it will deter the casual clepto passerby in the Kroger parking lot, and there's far more of them out there, if not that's where Reba really shines.So I'd say - buy it, get spare o-rings and hope it doesn't snap on you at whatever weight that may be.

Purchased this to use to lock my custom receiver cover on my truck. Unit shipped quick and arrived in a couple days. The lock mechanism is easily removed with the key and you just push it back on to lock on the pin. That basically sums up the positives here.Likes:Cover to seal off lock to prevent water/dirt from entering tumbler.Dislikes:Lock mechanism does not seal tight to O-ring. There is no way to push it snug to the o-ring so dirt and water will get inside this wayO-ring needs to be removed to get it through receiver. I tried multiple receivers and it binds on all. Had to remove ring to get it on. When you look at the o-ring and the shaft, you can see that the o-ring greatly increases the diameter.Fully seated, the lock wobbles on the shaft. Not very secure.All in all a good concept, just poor execution. I do not expect it to last and I do expect that when I need to remove it, I may have to cut it off. A positive here is there is a lot of shaft left to get a saw blade on.If you are going to be taking your receiver off and on a bit, then go with a different design. Having to remove the o-ring to install/remove is a pain and the overall quality of the construction is disappointing

Second time I had to cut this off my vehicle as the lock does not work, bearings are garbage. Absolutely never buy this product. Two times I tried and two times I had to cut it off with a grinder. I even used wd-40 to prevent this issue but it still broke. Cheap Chinese garbage.

After a month of buying this product I can say that I lost my money. I could only open the lock only once. Then use a grinder to remove it. The lock is damaged

I used this to tow a U-Haul trailer across a few states. It's rugged and stays well hidden. I left the hitch locked on the truck after the move, and it's still there, with no sign of tampering.

I really like this product. I have a F-350 and pull a fairly large trailer. I have need of two locks at a time. I’ve been looking for something like this. Material and workmanship; appear to be perfect. Good price and fast delivery.

I bought these because I had just bought a Gen-Y drop hitch (on Amazon), and standard hitch pin locks are too narrow for the very beefy Gen-Y hitch width. These work perfectly, and they're at a great price too! You get two, keyed-alike, for the price of one! Very happy with the purchase!

Purchased and installed last January to secure a hitch step.Yesterday morning got to Uhaul to pick up a trailer I had reserved, tried for an hour to unlock the pin to install the trailer hitch mount, spraying DW40 in and all around the locking mechanism, nothing to do. Put my reservation on hold and drove back home to deal with this.After playing around with it for another hour and going back to amazon to reread the reviews and other buyers feedback I noticed that so many buyers had the same problem.Ended up grinding the lock very slowly and carefully so not to damage the mount or bumper.This lock pin was good to keep the hitch step from getting stolen but don't expect to be able to unlock it?!?Lost so much time and gas, I want my money back.Avoid the trouble and frustraction and DON'T WASTE YOUR $$$ on this badly designed product.

6 months on my truck through a Canadian winter and won’t unlock, not sure how I’m going to cut it off, most deff not durable,Do not buy unless you want to cut it off!!Says it is durable and reliable in harsh climate but it’s NOT!! I’d give it a -5 if I could

Just what I wanted, great product. I put a small amount of Vaseline in the cap that covers where the keys goes in. I hope this will stop the issue with unlocking after a winter.

I like the blacked out finish of this lock. It matches my truck better. I’m hoping, if I keep this lock greased up, it won’t seize on like the last lock I had on the hitch.

Just installed this on my trailer as of right now the look of it is fantastic sturdiness is strong and I like the way the Lock works. We'll see you soon once I start trailering
