Great game somehow a lot better then beta version

I had problems first installing the game on an XBox One S. When I installed it, the game would part download, but the day one update wouldn't download. Instead, I got the following error message: “Update needed. You need this update, but we can’t get it at the moment. Try again in a while (0x8b050033)”. I tried all sorts to fix it over several days. Ultimately, I contacted the developers Square Enix who told me to try the following - which worked for me: 1) Install the game from disc again (if it is uninstalled). 2) Keep the physical disc in your machine for the following steps. 3) Go onto Microsoft Store and ensure the game is showing as installed on your XBox. 4) Uninstall the game. 5) Reinstall the game from Microsoft Store (NOT from disk). This downloaded the game and the day one update for me. I'm enjoying the game having finally got it to work.

We had 2 games send, and none of them worked. They did download but immediately after it asked for an update. This update could never be downloaded and therefore the game could not be played. Even game maker was contacted and the instructions were followed, but did not work either.

The gameplay loop is a little like Destiny, but slightly worse. A fair few bugs currently, level design is a little haphazard, however I'm enjoying the game lots and there's lots of things to come, new avenger in October, improvements etc. It's a fun game but wait 6 month till it's improved and pre-owned copies are ready available. I'm definitely going to keep an eye on it, see how things progress.

I deeply regret buying this game and wish you could get a refund. Watching the load screen over and over and over again makes me want to scream. Badly programmed! Tomb Raider, in 1998, was programmed better than this! And that was nearly a quarter of a century ago! No clear indication where to go on missions or where gear-up kits are; repetitive; hectic; bad targeting; the list of bad elements is endless. Won’t be buying any other games from this studio, and I mostly certainly won’t be buying anything in-game. So bored, and I hate this game so much, I don’t even want to play it, and I’ve only spent 4 hours on it. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Ok where to start. For starters graphics are to be honest a little poor. And Online graphics are aweful I mean awful. Am I playing a PS3 here 😂. Lack of detail but a lot of layering. But that’s not the worst part. The game play is frankly embarrassing for this age we live in. It’s appears it’s based on Tomb raider engine. I maybe wrong. But that’s how it feels. But the tomb raider from many years ago. Not the new ones witch are fantastic. The story runs better than online. Online Judders and is anything but smooth the movement is poor and feels very delayed and robotic. It is very very repetitive. Bring on the GRIND. One last thing sorry the load time when you fail a jump etc to reset you is a JOKE 1min 20 seconds at best 1:20!!! To load back where you just were! The game needs a few more of many more years to finish it off to a good standard. To sum up, it’s NOT worth getting, until it’s on sale or free on a game pass. It’s slow, not smooth at all and by far not up to the competition. Biggest disappointment of the year. Witch is such a shame.
