Potent and flavorful
These Rootbeer extract stevia drops are very potent and flavorful. I was able to use just a few drops in a can of plain carbonated water to make my own Sugar free Rootbeer! A little definitely goes a long way. It did have a slight aftertaste, but nothing too off putting or bothersome. If you are used to stevia, you most likely won’t notice at all. I have blood sugar issues, don’t consume artificial sweeteners due to their health hazards/ side effects, and am allergic to most natural sweeteners as they often contain corn, so I was ecstatic to finally find a natural sweetener I could have that doesn’t affect my blood sugar and comes in flavors I love. Unfortunately for me, I had an allergic reaction to the preservative used in the drops and had to return this flavor, and another equally delicious flavor. If I could have the product, I would purchase all of the flavors Stevia Select makes, and use them for all of my sweetening/ flavoring needs. Although I can’t enjoy these tasty drops, I hope my review inspires others who are searching for a natural sweetener and guilt free way to make flavorful drinks, snacks, and treats to try these drops. They come in a variety of flavors and are so versatile that their culinary uses are endless!

Stevia flavored, but no Butterscotch Taste
Gave a 1-star review because there was no butterscotch flavor at all. NoAll I can taste is the stevia flavor. My initial introduction to liquid stevia flavored sweeteners was Sweet leaf English Toffee Sweet Drops that I picked up at a local health food store. As a diabetic, I've struggled to part with sugar in my coffee. But I keep trying. I just can't give up the taste of my coffee. I tried the sweet drops & I think I could actually give up my creamer and drink it black if I needed to. I liked this. So I searched for Butterscotch. I found it in the grocery store...but...it had a bunch of other long words that weren't included in the one I got from the health food store. No thank you! So I hopped online & spent an entire day (I have to be sure I've left no stone unturned🙄) looking. SweetLeaf didn't sell Butterscotch but the next best with the purest ingredients (only next best because the brand was unknown to me, but so was Sweet Leaf a week ago!) was Stevia Select. So I decided to give it a try. I waited in excited anticipation...& Then it came!!! OMG, OMG, OMG...I make some coffee straight away...stupidly taste it straight from the bottle, get my cuppa all stirred and...raise it to my mouth...taste it ...and could taste no butterscotch. I tried a bit more. Nope. I could taste the stevia, but definitely no butterscotch...BUMMER!!!I wondered if it had to do with the flavor & not the company. The other company didn't even make it, and past this company, I could only find it with the ones that had a bunch of long words in them & well... I'm just not going to put a bunch of odds n ends chemicals in my body just to have a specific flavor! Perhaps I've just chosen a flavor that's just difficult to get right in a stevia liquid...some things just can't be done in a healthy manner. So, give them a chance, I'll try them again simply for their lack of extra long chemical sounding words! Here are the ingredients on both bottles. Compare it to what you find in the store and then you will appreciate them!

Decent flavor, but wish it was more cocktail-like cherry flavor than black cherry
I purchased this product, in part, thinking to flavor the “plain” zero calorie cola I’d purchased on sale in the hope that it would taste like my favorite, the cherry cola zero that is sometimes harder to find. I’ve also been looking for something to use to flavor water with that doesn’t contain artificial sweeteners or a lot of sodium, as I have health issues that make both somewhat problematic.Flavoring the regular cola was a bust. This syrup has plenty of flavor, but it’s distinctly BLACK Cherry flavor, not the maraschino-type cherry flavor used in most sodas (and cocktails). Moreover, if I used more than 2-3 drops, it was overwhelmingly sweet (the soda is already sweet, after all), and the taste became strongly reminiscent of cough syrup. Not great. 🫤So I tried adding a few drops to flavored sparkling water. I mostly find that they need just a little sweetener to cut the flavor of the carbonation (all I taste is baking soda), and then I can taste the fruit flavor. The syrup wasn’t bad there, but it didn’t suit the flavors I had in the fridge, really. So I started adding a bit to my 32oz tumbler when I filled it with ice and water and cherry-flavored powdered energy drink mix (guess I have a thing for cherry). I tried it with just water and the syrup, and it was just… meh. Instead, I use a single packet of drink mix (intended for 16oz water) in my 32oz mug with 5-10 drops of the cherry syrup, and mix it up thoroughly. And it’s pretty good! Still have to be careful not to overdo it, but it lets me stretch the powdered drink mix that has ingredients in it I don’t love, but just tastes so darn good.I wish that this company made a stevia syrup in a more cocktail-type cherry flavor, but I do plan to try a few other flavors and see what I think. (Note that I don’t drink coffee so I can’t tell you what this would be like for that purpose.)

Strong aftertaste
Alone it leaves a strong aftertaste. I combine it with heavy whip cream to time the after taste down. Works if you are doing Keto.
