Run this every night on schedule
Love this little robot vacuum. We have a finished, tiled basement and I have this programmed to run every night at 1am down there. It's so nice to come down to a clean space every night and it is highly motivating to keep the area picked up and tidy. I turned it off when we went out of town for 10 days and we came home to spidery corners in the basement - yuck! - so I know it helps reduce that issue as well. I now run it every other day when we are out of town - if you start with a clean space then the vacuum can run a few times without emptying. (Note, we do not have pets - probably a different story if you are dealing with pet hair!)I also carry it upstairs to our main level in our ranch home and use it nearly every day in different rooms. It is excellent for under beds! We even run it in our kitchen after dinner (just make sure you wipe up any wet messes first).I'm writing this review because I hopped back on Amazon today to buy a second one so we can have one on both floors of our home.A few tips:- Move all electrical cords out of Eufy's path - we used painter's tape to tape up cords behind dressers, etc so that the vacuum cannot get caught in them.- Boundary strips are hard to use at first due to coming tightly wound up. We cut to size and put it on the side of the refrigerator for a few days and it straightened out - we store the boundary strip there when we don't use it.- Spinning brush error - this isn't on the website, so sharing here. After a time, hair can get INSIDE the spinning brush. You need to take pliers to remove the black circle on one side of the spinning brush and clean out the hair. The second time I got this error repeatedly I did not find a lot of hair inside. The issue that time was that I needed to apply a bit of synthetic grease. The Eufy maintenance website says you need an entirely new spinning brush in this situation, so hopefully this tip will help someone avoid needing to buy a new brush before it is necessary!

Simple But Efficient
This is a great little vac. I got it to replace an ECOVACS mapping robot that malfunctioned just after the one year warranty expired. Although the Deebot worked great for a year, I was disappointed when it broke down and frustrated with customer service. I could barely understand the representative on the phone despite usually being good at understanding people with accents. The rep had trouble understanding the problem, offered no real help, just repair referral at my expense. After researching, I decided to get this non-mapping robot because of great reviews on both the robot and the customer service. I also decided a remote was a great feature in case our WIFI goes down. It comes with both WIFI and a remote and I honestly would be fine with just the remote, but it’s nice to have both in case I want to set up an automatic schedule for cleaning which can only be done on my phone with WIFI. Usually I just push the button on the bot to start it when I want it to run. I use it daily.Key Pluses:Very quiet.Runs a full 1 1/2 hoursGets the whole house vacuumed well despite a semi random pattern of movement through the house.Picks up dust, dog and cat hair, even kitty litter.Extra large dirt receptacle.Low to the ground with no elevated parts so gets under some furniture our Deebot couldn’t.Has a variety of programming options: set a schedule; one room 30 minute clean; or even direct it where to go manually using either the app or the remote.Works with WIFI or remote.Great, helpful customer service.I purchased a good optional 2 year extended warranty for $30 on top of the 1 year that comes with it so should get 3 years from this bot.If I want to move it or help it back to the charger (see minuses) I can just pick it up without worrying it will lose its map of the house.Charges in about 4 hours after a complete run.Key Minuses:About $70 more than our Deebot cost.Doesn’t always find its way back to charger but can pick it up and put it close. Then it goes right onto it.If you want a bot that runs independently when you aren’t home, it may go back to the charger fine when done or it may be out of juice somewhere in the house. You can use the find my bot feature to get it to beep so you can find it and return it to the charger.Note: I had trouble syncing to WIFI. Customer service ran me through various checks which didn’t help so directed me to return it for a different one. Turned out it was a glitch in my WIFI connection with my phone. Not the bot’s fault. Synched quickly when I used my husband’s phone!

Does poor job on carpets with doghair, never got synced to my phone.
I have not seen this vacuum do a great job on anything, floors or carpet. I continually go behind it with my stick vac to pick up what it misses. I have not gotten it to sync with my Samsung phone either. It also gets stuck in places so i have to watch it while operating. I might as well just vacuum myself.....

Good product
This is a great vacuum. One drawback - it’s very loud. Just as loud as a real vacuum.

He's not the smartest robot but iv had worse.....
This is the 3rd "smart" vac I have bought.... none of the others lasted more than a month because they pissed me off more than helped. Dobby (what I call it) does a decent job of getting the dirt up but hair, string, anything much bigger than a crumb either gets caught in his wheels and he Scots in a circle or clogs up the brush. I love the agent strips to keep him out of areas or rooms and he does a pretty good job for what I need him for.

Lasted just under a year
I’m sad to say that our vacuum now has stopped working. I used this thing almost every single day and it was great for 11 months. Now it stops in the middle of the floor and just beeps constantly. I wish it would have lasted longer because it was a great product. However, I would save your money and look for one that will last you longer.

If you’re on the fence, just get it
Ok. These robots have been out for a while but I just purchased my first one this week.I have three cats. Yes. In a 1,500 sf townhouse, where they actually spend 95% of the time downstairs. You can only be in denial for so long that your house is making you sick.So I purchased this dude and an air cleaner and have felt so much better since.I send my little dude out about 3x/day for 30” recon missions. He ALWAYS returns with a full load. Cat hair, my hair, cat litter, dust…it’s very satisfying to empty his basket thinking “damn! No wonder I was sneezing all the time.”And, my downstairs is super clean looking all day.I work from home so it also motivates me to focus on work as opposed to housework. If you have allergies or cats or both, just buy him. He’s a good dude who works hard!
