Freeze dried dinner.
There are many reasons to eat these. Hiking and camping aside, they have a long shelf-life and are quick and easy to prepare. Flavor is good for freeze dried. Each pack is suppose to be 2 servings... does not end up that way in my house. Price is comparable to other 'fast food'.

In my top 5 MH meals
This one is a winner for all the picky people in your life. Tender pasta, ground beef and a savory, thick tomato sauce with just the right 'kick' without being overly spicy. What's not to like?If anyone's interested in my 'top 5 MH meals' they are (in order): pasta primavera, beef stew, spaghetti and meatsauce, lasagna and granola with milk and blueberries. I don't have a bottom 5 but I have found every one of their egg preparations almost inedible. The biscuits and gravy wasn't much better and the pasta in the mac and cheese stays hard unless it sits for 45 minutes. Just my opinion of course.

What do you call fake lasagna? An impasta. OK, on to the review.
Nothing is like lasagna fresh out of the oven, however if you find yourself ovenless and 3 miles into the woods with nothing but a backpack and fishing rod..... You might be a Redneck. Lol, ok, this Lasagna is equivalent to a quality frozen lasagna from your local supermarket only its done in 10 minutes. Great quality & as always, quick & easy. Pasta LA Vista Baby!

Great trail food
I have been eating the MH Lasagna for years on my backpacks. Tastes great after a day hiking out in the middle of nowhere. Great for long term storage in case of hurricane, etc. Lower in sodium than most for anyone older or watching their intake. I am greatly disappointed they dropped the size of the package and increased the price. Suggest you let it sit for an extra 3 to 4 minutes more than recommended as it gets softer and tastier with the extra time. Finally, don't toss the package. I reuse the empty package for my packets of instant oatmeal the next morning for breakfast. Yes there may be a little sauce left in the package but you don't taste it so who cares. No cleanup. Limits packout.

Rich, slightly spicy taste
Bought the six pack. Shipped fast. Taste was similar to Stouffer's frozen lasagna, could definitely tell there was a lot of sodium but that's common with freeze-dried food. Overall was tasty and the package is extremely lightweight and compact so you can throw it in your bag for camping or whatever other activity you like to take it on. Just needs boiling water that goes right in the bag for 10 or so minutes and you have a meal that you can enjoy outdoors or just as a snack. Don't forget the spoon!

Reliably very good
This is by far their best tasting meal, and it is very good! It's kind of hard to screw up lasagna, but then again, it is in a bag and sitting around for weeks or months or years, lol. It's kind of shocking that you can dump some hot water into a bag and soon be eating something that tastes so good after a long day hiking or camping or kayaking, or whatever it is you're going to do. I suggest you let the bag rest for about 15 minutes instead of the shorter time in the instructions, and definitely do the stirring to make it consistently hydrated throughout. Feeds 1 hungry person, or 2 can fight over who gets to attempt licking the inside of the bag.
