Great product
I waited several weeks to post a review so I could get a really good idea of how it would function as well as the quality of the product.I'll start with the installation process. For me it was very easy and I'm getting older and not in great health. I already had a pole I paid to the roof from our old satellite dish mount. So attaching this to the existing Pole was extremely easy and only took less than half an hour.As far as performance goes I couldn't ask for anymore. We had one of the little flat indoor antennas that picked up about 10 channels but did not get the local news channel that we prefer to watch. We tried a couple of different outdoor antennas but they were either so complicated to put together or install and they just never did much better than the indoor ones. With this one I get 78 channels many of them I just don't care to watch but what's best is the channels that I do want or far far clearer than they were with the indoor antenna and some even better than with the satellite. There are some minor issues with bad weather getting a couple of the more distant stations but that was also the case with satellite dish. The picture quality is far better than the indoor Indiana and in many cases more better than the satellite dish. The quality of the antenna itself as of today seems to be holding up very well with no issues so overall I'm very pleased with this antenna. Just a side note we are in a drought situation in our area so we haven't had any measurable rainfall since I installed this antenna so I can't say how it holds up as far as being weather resistant. More to come.

ANTOP UFO antenna looks star trekkie, but outperforms rectangular ones. Best reception I found.
I like the look of the antenna and ability to pick up over 40 channels (half are Baja CA. Mexico TV Stations) in my area in south San Diego east county. The TV station signals in my area are in three general directions from my house: NW, NE & S. Thus, I needed an omnidirectional antenna. Check web site for TV station locations in your area first. I tried the two-plate rectangular ones and had to rotate it to get stations I wanted, but then the other ones got snowy picture quality or no signal at all. This antenna has a plastic 4-hole mounting plate and I would have liked for this to be metal for longer durability. We will see how long the plastic holds up. Overall, I am please with picture quality and have a 3-way signal splitter and all TV's work great!

Complete garbage
After mounting in 3 locations and 6 hours later, I only got 7 channels, at most. My half broken one that is just sitting outside the window, not mounted, gives me between 30 and 60 channels. Total waste of time and money.

Not bad.
My goal was to eliminate cable. This works. I installed it on the peak of the ridgeline and it picks up about a dozen decent stations. My $80 per month TV cable has been canceled.

Placement of smartpass amp
The smartpass amplifier is sensitive to interference from other devices. When I first installed the antenna, everything worked great. I was very happy. Later, I was puzzled after tuning the TV on that I had no signal. I checked all the connections, they were fine but noticed as I moved the amplifier, the signal was dependent on the placement of the amp. I wrapped the amp in tinfoil and that fixed the problem. For my location (country home) the trade off for an omnidirectional antenna was good. I receive signals very well from three cities located 30 to 60 miles away.Update: After about 9 months, mysteriously the antenna quite working again. I checked everything until I had no choice but to replace it. As I removed the antenna, I noticed the dish had collected water inside somehow, obviously a manufacturing defect. Wasn't sure what to do but after having several other directional antennas, I wanted to stay with the omnidirectional setup. I decided to take a chance and order the same antenna. It's been trouble free now for more than 4 years.

Average antenna
Had an amplified Yagi antenna which is directional; wanted better omnidirectional coverage. No better coverage that I can see, and one station which has had bulletproof reception is now occasionally too weak to play its signal. Despite being omnidirectional I am picking up no more channels than I was with my old antenna. Antenna is pole mounted to clear my roof and the roof of the garage, so no major metal obstacle.s

Great Reception
You know, I almost didn't buy this unit because I read some of the negative reviews and was getting turned off. But decided to give it a shot cause I like the omni-directional design and the way it mounts. Didn't want to mount it on the roof so I put it in the highest point of the attic which is probably about 20 feet above ground. Outstanding reception. Pulled in about 60 or 70 channels. Of course many are duplicates but there are plenty of channels to watch. Expected to loose a lot of the channels from the more distant towers on cloudy days, but much to my surprise, I was able to pull in many more than I expected. This is a really nice unit that mounts easily.

The best antenna I’ve found
This is the best antenna I have found, and I have tried several. I have stopped with this one! Thank goodness! Everything about this antenna is good… I get all of the local channels, and a lot of channels I don’t even need. This, coupled with my streaming services is saving me a lot of money every month. I highly recommend this antenna, and it looks great on the top of my house! it was very easy to install, and the picture quality is awesome!
