Nice concept and reasonably quality execution. The ones that I received were nicely packaged. The one flaw that I have found (haven't installed them yet as they arrived yesterday) is that the mold for the mounting rings left excess plastic "squeeze out" in the locking channels where the tabs on the cover insert into the mounting ring. This excess material makes the cover not mount to the ring (as in it didn't go in at all). Upon closer examination, I found the excess material, cleaned it out with a utility knife, and the one I fiddled with worked perfectly. The issue would be - for the average customer - that the rings are installed before most people assemble them. As a result, they'd have to remove the mounting rings to clean the channels where the outer ring and the cover tab join. A person who either didn't look first or doesn't know how to *fix* the problem will see it as a defective product as the covers will fall off because they otherwise simply don't mount securely.Such a simple fix for a great product. Not a deal killer for me, but if you're going to tout "Made in USA", make sure that the QC is up to that level that customers expect for an American Made product.

The inventor of this product did build a better mouse trap. Installation was easy, about 5 minutes per light. The plastic pieces fit very snuggly together. I used some Q-tips and silicone spray to apply to the plastic parts that slide on one another. Don't spray the whole thing, just dip the Q-tip into a small puddle of silicone spray and apply with the Q-tip. Took a little time but made final assembly very easy. The final installed product looks like original equipment and the plastic screen really doesn't cut down on the light output. Would buy again!

We actually used these in our kitchen. We were experiencing insects (wasps, beetles, etc..) entering our home through our recessed lighting in our kitchen. I had purchased magnetic screens made for recessed lighting a while back but some failed to stay applied even tho they served the purpose, they were very unattractive over time. I installed these myself while my hubby was as work with just a cordless drill. They are so well designed the way you install the ring first and then the screen cover just slides right on. I left ours white, however they can be painted.

Depending on your site of use, this requires a bit more time and skill to install. The cover is totally dependent on how old or strong your recessed light insert is. If older can light, springs holding the can up may not be strong enough to hold the additional weight. As a result, may not fit as tightly against the ceiling as you would like. It is relatively easy to install overall though.

These seem to be well made insect covers. I installed several where we have issues with mud wasps. They only need two screws to attach, and the cover will twist for easy removal for bulb change-outs. After spring, I can provide an update with more details.

I wasn't sure about these light covers, especially since they are a bit pricey. However, we got them because wasps were always building nests in our porch lights. They work - no more wasps in our lights! We have noticed that the wasps are building elsewhere on the porch, but it is much easier to remove nests from the ceiling or porch railing.

The light covers were packaged well, very well made, and came with everything needed for a simple install. Unfortunately my can lights were slightly too large in diameter so the light covers didn’t fit by a small margin. If they had I would’ve had zero issue - but having said that Turner Light Covers was very responsive and helpful in processing a refund. I highly recommend both the product and the seller even though they didn’t end up working out for me.

I asked a question about installation in vinyl siding on the ceilings of my porch. Since I received excellent advice, even from the company, I ordered 10 of these light covers. They arrived very quickly, were packaged with a great “made in the USA” sticker, and included everything I needed to know, even a recommendation about using LED bulbs. After a couple of scares with wasps already starting nests in my old rusty covers, I was able to complete the installation of all 10, with a ladder and a cordless screwdriver. Did I mention that I will be 66 this month...and I am a woman. Yes, it was that easy. I like the clean look and the wasps are now looking for new homes!
