That's When I Knew: A Big Sister's Tale Hardcover – December 13, 2013

Very cute book. We like that the main character is a girl and she's getting a baby brother. We also like that it addresses some of a child's concerns about a new sibling - my daughter really thought that new babies would be able to play and talk. When she figured out that they can't, she became a little wary. This book reminds her that she and her brother have a special connection even if he can't talk just yet.

The illustrations in the book are wonderful (the cover of the book shows an example) and easy for a young child to interpret. The story itself is easy for our 3 year old to understand and has a good message. Although there is a page about the sister's older siblings which was unnecessary for us as we don't have any older children.

This was a gift for a big sister to be! Great story for a special gal!

This is an adorable story. My 2 yr old granddaughter gets bored half way through the book. Maybe the story is a bit too long, or it is better for a child a bit older.
