Lamin-x Custom Fit Yellow Fog Light Covers for Subaru WRX, STI (15-20)

I’ve had this on my wrx for about 3 years now it still looks really good, it was easy to install, I honestly don’t even think about it anymore. It was very worth it.

This is my second set of Lamin-X fog light covers - the cut precision and material properties of these covers are very good w/ regards to their fit, appearance and durability. But you do need to prep their application properly and use the right technique when applying them.Lamin-x has tutorials on their site that provide a lot more detail than the insert these ship with. Those explain how to prep the light surface & lay down the covers by wetting surfaces and applying heat when needed. If you take your time to do it right, you'll get very good results.

If you own the identified Subaru - then you know what you're expecting, and this should meet those expectations without any drama. But if you don't own one of the limited offerings by lamin-x on Amazon, you're probably wishing they'd post dimensions on the round ones so you could determine a reasonable equivalent that fits your car. These are approximately 3 1/4 inch round. After scoping out driving lights in parking lots I was confident they'd fit my 2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT, and they, in fact, fit perfectly. I had the best luck by centering the cover and working outward in expanding circles to install them. The adhesive is forgiving - pretty easy install. Looks good - light output is definitely tinted without any noticeable reduction in intensity.

If using on domed lens (WRX 2015+) apply dry. I simply cleaned the lens with isopropyl alcohol before and applied starting from the center. The tabs on the sides helped with positioning it before. No bubbles and stuck right away. It is also very forgiving. Covers the fog light completely with bezel on! Used the dry method and had no problems installing. The tabs made it easy to make adjustments and the vinyl fits the light great. It says in the instructions that it’s meant to be applied with the trim bezel intact, but it’s definitely easier to install with it removed. Looks great!

I’ve used Lamin-X precut vinyl before and I’ve had only good experiences with them.This was easy to apply as usual. Each time I’ve applied, I prefer to spray water as I find it easier to center the vinyl before using my fingers to spread the water out. The ends I use a vinyl application tool and complete the process. Keep in mind there will be condesation which will evaporate between the glass and film.Overall, a very easy install.

These fog covers look awesome. Install these dry and do not use water/soap method as the sticking and stretching is needed to fit the dome shape of the OEM fogs. You can stick and remove as the material is thick and pliable. Center as much as you can and start from the center and work your way to the edges. Others tips are to remove fog/turn signal bezel and to use an exacto knife to trim tabs when finished.
