Great mini PC for office work and streaming
Great little mini PC, Vesa mounted it on the back of my 22" screen. No noise, does get warm depending on load. Only 64Gb EMMC, however, had about 30Gb free after all updates. Booting in about 24s - so no real need for the SSD. Significantly faster than my HP Laptop (N3710 with SSD) - but of course, nothing like an I3 or I5. I decided for a solid no fan design, because the fan is the first thing to fail and I like it to be quiet. I will run this PC around the clock...The USB ports are a bit tight - cannot mount two sandisk ultra fit USB 3 sticks next to each other (the plastic caps are a bit too thick). I mainly need this to work from home - working via VPN in HD on my work computers. For this purpose it is perfect and so much easier to handle than connecting my laptop to my 22inch screen. It is a bit on the expensive end for the specs - I think they could have added a small SSD for the price (though it includes windows 10 professional). It is very well build - no problems at all to setup the system (and VESA mount and screws for SSD and VESA mount included).I tested it for some HD streaming - perfect - Intel 600 graphics is a big improvement, and the network connectivity seems also faster than with all my old devices.I installed a 500Gb crucial SSD (500 Gb is the max size supported) - the device gets very hot when busy - in excess of 82C - so I decided to keep the cover open to allow better circulation. The box reboots now about 7s faster - this is not that much faster - maybe it feels a bit more responsive. Follow the advice on the minix forum for advice on SSD installation. I installed the SSD, then cloned my eMMC to the new SSD with the software provided by crucial (at this point the SDD was not visible to windows, don't panic) . Then I disabled the emmc in the BIOS (chipset south cluster) and made the SDD the first option for booting.

Good little machine, graphics performance indifferent
This was for a reception area monitor. It performs well enough and runs the os perfectly well. Not too great at rendering HD videos, but on the whole a good machine.

Rubbish
Bought to feed a TV with 4K 60fps video. This "PC" is simply just not powerful enough. When in 4K resolution video (even non 4K video) stutters and buffers and breaks up and even just trying to use normal windows gives terrible screen lag.The Graphics chip just can't handle the draw speeds for 3840x2160. It's just about usable 1920x1080, but this is advertised as a a PC that can do 4k. It can't.Returned the item, and got a refund. Thanks for that easy return process amazon.

After windows update it goes into BSOD loop.
After windows update it goes into the BSOD loop, there is no cure for this. Nothing on the manufacturer's website either. Running LINUX on it now, not bad for the price vs performance but as it stands right now - you will not be able to run Windows 10 on it.

Does the basics well
I bought the minix to replace old desktop.Does the basics well and occupies very little space.I dont use it for gaming so no idea how it handles that sort of thing.

Flinkes Teil
