when running my electric fence between non-continuous pastures and corrals, I used to elevate the hotwire over breezeways and roads. That method is unsightly and a problem when making longer runs. Now I span those areas by connecting with this fence wire and burying the runs. it looks better and takes way less maintenance.

It added a perimeter fence for my dogs and having the wire be continuous was a great advantage.

This fence wire is a bit pricey but it is vary thick and has a good amount of insulation.

This worked out great. Although it seems a bit pricey, in the grand scheme of things it is a pretty cheap way to solve the problem of having to move your dog fence to another house. Most of the cost is in the receiver box, so just leave the wire in the ground at your old house, and bury this wire at the new house. Make sure you get some heavy duty splicing connectors for installing, though.
