Lift heavier, pull up longer with Iron Bull hand hooks
While it can be argued they are a bit of a gimmick as in asking yourself "do I need these? " and the answer would be NO... if you're grip isn't the best, they do help in deadlifting more weight than you would without them in training, because if you can build the rest of your arm, you're still going to get stronger and can then work on your grip a bit later. So for that reason they are a good choice for begginners and intermediate lifters. My primary use for them is the pullup bar, i'm quite a heavy dude as it is, so getting my arms used to holding my bodyweight longer, allows me to focus on grip later. I can also stretch my lower back easier which was causing me a lot of pain.. Longer pain relief... It is said that a true measure of strength is to lift your bodyweight or more with relative ease, equalizing with gravity.. You can't do that too quickly without building your grip first to hold yourself up, that's where these are so useful for increasing hang times. I get at least an extra minute on my PR.Since most bodybuilders don't care about grip too much, if you help yourself with these hooks, grip will come faster since you build the rest of the arm. So they do make sense and they do serve a purpose... Most of us are not entering competitions, but as a training tool, it has a place in the home gym, primarily for deadlifting, pull up bar and dumbells when training your back with one leg on the bench, the other on floor, bend slightly and pull dumbbell off the floor.I would reccomend them, it's an okay buy but in my opinion, finds itself useful for the pull up bar and deadlift, you will have a better experience doing both.
