Works as described
Purchased for an old boat to replace existing lock. Had to use a 1” hole saw to drill a new hole to fit this one and had to lower the hole some to accommodate the height difference.

Direct replacement for sanpan Godfrey pontoon boats for 90s model
Perfect replacement for my pontoon. I am a bourbon guy and like to keep bottles on my boat, found out my neighbors were drinking my pricy bourbon when I was gone. This lock should do the trick

Overall a good product.
The nylon nut didn't stay tight so I put some contact cement to hold it. Working fine after that.

Too thick
Product has too thick material for the nut and too short tab. Does not fit in my boat's locker where previous lock fit fine. These things should be the same dimensions.

So So, cheaply made
I purchased this latch for the glove box on my SXS to replace the missing latch. This one is kinda missleading as to how it should be installed. After enlarging the hole to install, the latch barely would catch the striker plate and the door would open when hitting a bump. The latching part of this latch does not stick out very far at all, so it needs to be mounted extremely close to the striker plate in order to hold when closed. I was able to custom build a spacer and reposition the latch to make it work, but ended up with more time invested than the latch was worth. I have not been on a serious ride since the custom install, but seems to be holding now. I was not impressed with the key feature at all... seems to be very cheaply made.I would NOT recommend this latch for anything needed for security!! It could be easily opened. If you just need a cheap simple latch, it should work; just be cautious when installing to make sure it lines up.

Plastic but durable for now
It is plastic and seems durable for now. It unlocks and locks with not sticking or issues and it comes with the metal latch/catch for the lock to close on. After I install the door with the lock on my boat I will update in 6 months to see how it’s holding up still.
