Outerimpact Red Dot Adapter Mount for Ruger American Pistols

not many mounts for ruger american pistols but heres one that works easy to install and can be used for different red dot scopes good quality and well made and not hard to install no movement no drift

Part arrived early and is exactly what I needed.

Worked perfectly as advertised.

I would like Outerimpact to add more installation videos or clearer instructions but, overall it's pretty simple to figure out. I definitely recommend using loctite!

I just wanted to share my experience with this mounting plate, I bought it not realizing that you needed to remove your rear sight to install the plate, which should be easy enough but the rear sight has a small set screw that needs to come out in order to press or tap out your sight, my issue is I can’t get the set screw out. I called Ruger and they told me the correct size bit for removal is .050” which I tried multiple different .050 bits with no luck, so I can’t remove my rear sight to install the optics plate, the plate it self seems to be good quality and comes with hardware for different guns/optics , but I just can’t get the plate on my gun. (Ruger 57)

Trash, the screws sent with the mount do not fit the Ruger 57. Its actually not the gun its the screws that hold the mounting plate to the rear sight adapter. Wouldn't buy again or recommend to others. The instructions for installing it only show pictures of glocks and do not tell you which screw goes where.

I needed to have a hole drilled into my weapon due to the incapability. I order the mount for my weapon. Turns out it is a universal and doesn't fit my weapon. $40 to have it mounted by a gunsmith. He nearly told me he couldn't do it.DONT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ.

Installed easily on Ruger 57 and followed online directions to torque screws to 25 inch lbs. I got to 20 inch lbs and screw threads stripped making product useless! I would not recommend purchase or follow their online instructions especially torque specs.
