Outstanding antenna
Well made. Easy to assemble. Includes stand-off pipe, u-clamps and brackets. Comet 500 Mark II analyzer charted 1.1- 1.2 across the 2m band. Getting amazing distance with this antenna. Highly recommend.

didn't last long
UPDATE DON'T BOTHER THE COMPANY DIMOND ANTENNA WILL NOT ANSWER PHONES OR EMAILS . GOOD LUCK ... YES I AM PISSED...I can't say what we liked about this antenna, Got it up never got to use it. Had it up for about 2 weeks, heavy winds. The seller is not at fault in anyway, My main complaint is with the manufacture. I have been calling sending emails, There response is no one is available to answer the phone. Just leave messages. My neighbor has the same antenna 4 years never a problem. So just be aware there is no response from the manufacture. Trying to work with CommLine inc where the antenna shipped from.

Amazing!
I pulled down a diamond v200a and put this in its place. The difference is worth every penny. SWR perfect through the bands.

Good Product, But Arrived Damaged and Unusable
1/17/2025. My item was shipped in only the soft vinyl packaging. During my careful assembly, I discovered several cracks in the fiberglass, including the horizontal crack in the middle element section pictured. The antenna would not survive a strong wind, and also would allow significant water penetration. The only option Amazon made available to me is to return the entire antenna. NOTE: the “contact manufacturer” option on the Amazon website gave me a number for Diamond matches, and not Diamond antennas.

Not receiving simplex like old Tram antenna did
I bought this Diamond X510HDM X510-HDM to replace my Tram 1481 (3 yrs old) that blew a capacitor. I finally got the Diamond up about 2 weeks ago and I'm puzzled about what it's doing. My SWR is 1.0 on 144 mhz and 2.0 after 147 mhz. I'm using LMR 400 coax... And the last two weeks on a simplex net, I'm getting repeaters 50-60 miles away at same or a little better signal, but Simplex on people 30 miles away and closer, their signal is down 3 S units. That puzzles me, unless the last two Solar flares/CMEs caused bad reception close to me. People 50 miles away on simplex I hear the same, which is barely hearing them.... I may take it down in 2 or 3 weeks and see if I can eyeball anything wrong with it, unless it corrects itself due to the Solar flares. The last two weeks HF bands have been bad due to Solar flares. On one local net on 40 meters I couldn't talk to a friend 60 miles away that usually isn't a problem, but checked in with a guy 200 miles away on the net, maybe the same is happening on 2 meters. If it is, I'll change this review, because I'm disappointed and confused right now about the reception.

Fast delivery, Great performing antenna!
Excellent Antenna for repeater or simplex use. Easy to install with no extra tuning needed. Fast delivery! My very first antenna was the Diamond X50 then I moved up to a Diamond X200 and now I have finally invested in this great performing antenna.

Beware
The item arrived broken. It was shipped in the original plastic sleeve from the factory and it looked like parts were missing. I did a return and am supposed to be receiving a new one. I hope it is shipped more securely.
