FF DOT: The Pixel Art of Final Fantasy

I love all things FF so this was an easy buy for me.Yes, there could be more art in there and I saw some complaints about the newer games not being covered extensively. However, you get a lot of high-quality pictures of the pixel art from the FF 1 - 6 (since these were all pixel art) as well as characters from the newer games 'pixelated'.It is nice to see exactly how the art was created (what colours, the pattern) and to have it all in one book.Keep in mind that this is mainly an art book and does not contain any explanations of individual designs or interviews with people that worked on the game. There is a lengthy interview with Kazuko Shibuyain the back of the book, which is interesting.Overall a good purchase.

Just what I wanted

Book itself it's thick with a hardcover. It mostly goes over all the FF pixel characters, however I still feel this book is lacking of content...I wish they show more about other pixel art like the beautiful pixel map/landscape of each FF along with those complex castle or town design.Sadly, not much were shown...I am kinda disappointed. I also wish they show more about the items and weapons as seen in the game, but again very little were shown... At the end of the book there is an interview with, I guess, the pixel artist. Unless you are a hardcore FF fan: otherwise, I think you can pass on this book.

Un gran libro para los amantes del pixel art, la historia de Final Fantasy durante su era de píxeles, un compendio hermoso y fácil de apreciar, y la entrevista del final es un gran plus
