all around good woods tool
If your going to be in the woods and need something to make fire wood, hack down brush, cut down small trees this may be what you are looking for. A knife and hatchet in one maybe even comparable to a small axe. If I was only going with one cutting tool this wood be it or something much like it. Strong sharp blade, good handle good grip should last a long time.

A Workhorse Tool!!
I’ve had the Billhook Machete for 8 months now. It has held up to building thousands of feet of high tunnels with bamboo. Slashing through thickets and finely chopping wood for staffs, fires and fun. Seriously, I’m a machete fanatic this one quickly became on of my favorites as it’s thin edge and fine grind made it quick to sharpen and legitimately scary sharp. The lack of a sheath is annoying but still I’ve found it’s blade geometry and handle angle to be spot on. I’ve spent hundreds on other machetes over the years but this one and my Ghurka Kukri have been my absolute favorites.

Nice machete!
Really nice, very simple and effective. It's not pretty, but it's rugged and durable and very useful. I really like this machete...a lot! The only down side is that it doesn't come with a sheath.

The cutting edge is no where near centered.
Haven't used it yet. It looks like it will work for the brush in using it on, after I fix the cutting edge that is.

Good blade, unfortunate handle.
I miss read the picture, and thought this knife had a handle that extended beyond the bottom of the handle. I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew it was a cheap plastic thermo-injected plastic handle with a 3/4 tang at best. Even my wife turned her nose like "that handle is gonna fail... why'd you buy that.... don't use that near our kids". And I agree with her. With that being said. Its a forward weighted bush chopper. It's good metal. Gets real sharp comes very sharp. It does what it's meant to, it cuts through 1in or so branches without slowing down. It will split small timber for fire. Great for processing branches into burning material. Performed a knife or death bottle chop first try with no effort. Feels good to swing.I give it a limited life expectancy due to the handle, but I'm glad I own it and I wouldn't send it back at the money I paid for it. When the handle fails I'll consider putting a new handle on it.

great
this is great, it takes an amazing edge, the only downside is it really needs to be re handled which I did and I think it is amazing now
