I had a hard time writing this, because I know so many people who benefit from silk pillowcases. So this is not to persuade anyone to not buy this product. I only want to offer some additional opinions so that people have as much information as possible.This product is well made, beautifully smooth, the zipper is concealed, the color is true to description (I purchased the Ivory). However... I personally would not buy this product again for night sleeping because....SIDE SLEEPER: It sticks to my face because I'm a side sleeper! I put on face serum and cream every evening right before bed. And the only way the pillow case won't stick to my face is if I do not put on cream OR I put my nightly cream on an hour before I go to bed. I find this so miserableHAIR CARE: Silk pillowcases cannot get wet. This means I cannot go to bed with wet hair at all, not even slightly damp - because it damages the pillowcase and also makes the pillowcase stick to my face. ** I completely understand that many folks use this pillowcase to help prevent follicle breakage. And I respect everyone's need and preferences. Just sharing the other side.CARE INSTRUCTIONS: I thought I'd be fine hand washing a pillow case, but I'd prefer to put all of my bedding in a washing machine.ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS: What do I do then, if I can't use silk? I take an old t-shirt that is super soft and I put it over my pillowcase. This sounds very "uncool" but it works just as well, can get wet, and doesn't need hand washing.Again... Some of these CONs probably will not affect the benefits that a majority of people get from this item. Hoping this info helps people make a decision that works for them!

I received the Tafts king sized ivory white silk pillowcase after purchasing it from Amazon. It was the first silk pillowcase I’ve purchased for myself. I do have one from Slip, which I received as a gift a couple of years ago. Comparing the price of the two on Amazon, the Tafts pillowcase retailed for about $35 (after taxes), while the Slip king pillowcase was about $115. The Tafts pillowcase wasn’t even a third of the price of the Slip. So after receiving it in the mail and taking it out of the packaging, I immediately noticed how soft it was! My hand glided over it so easily and it felt very nice when I rubbed it across my cheek. Comparing it to the Slip silk pillowcase, it felt almost identical, if not softer. It also had a nice thickness to it, although it was a bit see-through when placed over my pillow that has some blue stripes on it. That was probably due to the color. I also noticed it had a concealed zipper to keep my pillow in place, which I liked. That’s something that the Slip case doesn’t have. Once I went to bed, I wanted to see how my hair would manage, so I slept with it in a loose ponytail. Normally I use a bonnet since I have thick curly hair that tends to snag on regular cotton pillowcases and so I end up with a couple of strands left on it. The pillowcase felt good on my skin all night and there was no weird smell coming from it. When I woke up the following morning, I didn’t find any hairs on or near it, so I was very happy about. Fast-forward to a couple weeks later and the pillowcase still feels just as good and I even managed to wash it. Now I’ll admit that I’m not one for taking special precautions when washing delicates, so I threw it in the washing machine and dryer with my usual items and it still came out super soft. Actually, every time I washed it. It also didn’t stain or tear, which is even better. Comparing it again to the Slip pillowcase, the main difference (besides the price) is that the Slip one did stain and tear after washing, so I’d say that the Tafts is made of better-quality silk. Overall, this is a great silk pillowcase. It gives higher-end brands a run for their money and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who is looking for one!

Packaging: I appreciated the resealable bag that the pillowcase comes in. It can be used to store the pillowcase away or even for other uses. The detail given to the packaging makes the Product experience more enjoyable and justifiable.The pillowcase: upon first touch I noticed how soft the fabric truly is. I’ve used many satin fabrics and even a silk/satin blend. They don’t compare to this fabric. I would describe it as almost moisturized, like the fabric itself has moisturizing properties. I’ve noticed a difference in the balance and clarity of my skin, and it is possible that this pillowcase contributed to these results.- the zipper on the side of the pillowcase insures that it doesn’t slip off. This feature adds to the quality and usability of the product.- the fabric feel amazing against the skin, and makes my night routine more relaxing. Color: I received the dark navy blue pillowcase. The color is beautiful and adds to the esthetic of my room decorSleep mask: the silk sleep mask is the perfect size for covering my eyes without bothering the rest of my face. The soft padding between the fabric eliminates the often irritating experience of sleeping with a sleep masking.Overall I would say that the Tafts gives customers a luxurious experience, from the extra detail given to packaging, to the silk smooth and soft fabric.

Thin, very poor quality. My wife has been using this silk pillowcase since mid-February and it's already worn completely worn out (see photo with multiple holes/thin spots).

I got the pink color which was spot on to the picture and lovely. Incredibly silky. Can't say I've notice a HUGE change in my skin or hair, but maybe a little better for my hair. One of those things that might not make a huge different short term, but better long term. I do feel my skin stays hydrated better than when I used a cotton pillowcase.I forgot to take off my makeup before a nap once and got some mascara on it, but it came out very easy with a gentle handwash. I didn't even devote extra time to the stain.Zipper works well.Only potentially bad thing -- the water the first time I washed it came off a little bit pink tinged. Would advise washing by itself, at least the first time.

Great silk and beautiful colour

I expected to receive a deep beautiful mauve color as the picture and description advertise... instead, I got a pale pastel pink that i can find pretty much anywhere on the market. It's pretty sad, because it was the colour that made me choose this brand over many other options available. Also, the pillowcase is pretty much unusable to me now, after the first wash, because it has shrank so much it doesn't fit onto my pillow anymore. It was already much smaller than other regular size queen pillowcases and I was barely able to pull it onto my pillow, but after i washed it following all the gentle care instructions, I can't put it onto my pillow at all. Consider that when purchasing. It was pretty expensive, and now I guess I will have to cut my pillow?..

Love these pillow cases. The pink is brighter than picture more to a candy colour. Are extremely comfortable and a beautiful touch of luxury on my bed. Highly recommend.

Wrinkles after washing and drying. Texture is soft on face and is better for hair. Good zipper enclosure. Would recommend.
