Ordered four books, got 3The grammatical errors I can see through fine but the few important errors there are could be significantly misleading. I bought this to help students at the track, I think it’s a reasonable buy but needs to be thoroughly edited

For the price of the book, it's a bargain and should be in anyone's collection who studies vehicle dynamics and/or high performance vehicle development. It's an easy read and goes quickly, a disciplined reader will probably read it all in a weekend the first time, but it is a book that you will want to go through 2-3 times with a highlighter and/or tabs to mark things that are deemed important. There are some grammatical errors throughout the book which is annoying but anyone who has a background in this subject should be able to figure it all out. By purchasing this book you probably have a background in racing/VD, etc and it will complement the rest of the books in your collection. I look forward to the other books in this series.

If you know nothing about shocks this gives you a list of things to consider. Otherwise it's long on theory and short on how to apply it. The book has a lot of equations but not how to use them. My copy had so many typos and missing prepositions that it was difficult to read.

Part way through my first reading. As an engineer, I wanted to have a deeper understanding of dampers. However, the grammatical errors, strange sentence structure, repetitive paragraphs and sentences(some identical), and math example errors are making it difficult to finish. While the foundation of knowledge seems good, the book reads as a rough draft.

This is probably one of the best books out there about Dampers and the approach is just so different to explain the concepts and make it much much more understandable. I come from an automotive Design background and I just wished I could have caught hold of this book back then when I just started working. Would have helped with my learning much less painful. Simply superb and must read.

Really good approach to learn about dampers!!Easy to understand and with some really interesting schemes and figures about how a suspension works .Good for everyone that wants to learn about suspensions, from an amateur to a race engineer.Waiting for the next volume already.

An excellent book, well suited to anyone new to motorsport engineering or experienced engineers seeking in-depth knowledge.I have previously worked in Nissan R&D and it is true shock absorbers are one of the least understood, this book is an excellent resource for my learning.

A fantastic book that explains in easy and understandable words the technicalities of suspension. As an an amateur racing driver this increased my knowledge and understanding of the intricacies in suspension set up and driver understanding. A great read.

The book it great, helps with all aspects of being a race engineer, this book has help me alot to understand how a shock absorber work and can't wait for the next volume.
