No alterations needed. I wear gloves when using as the process will numb your hands but the device works well.

I can make my own frit now at home. I fuse glass and make various panels too. This now means I can take shards and do my own frit. I do try to use same colors and not just pulverize it all together...It is extremely sturdy and heavy. Very very well made.

I'm disappointed with this product due to the short shaft, it doesn't give length for a strong impact, atleast for me, also the medal that impacts on the bottom is a thin strip I think it needs atleast another one,, over all It came on time and was what it said it was, I just hadn't bought one before and now I know what to look.Thank you

Had to cut bottles down to get them to fit.

So far so good, but I do wish it had another piece going across the other direction. I might take it to a friend. Otherwise it takes a bit to break glass, and can only use small amount when crushing, but at least it works.

Used it for the first time today and noticed specks in the glass after further review I found it to be full of rust. Very solid. It definitely helps to have the sifting baskets. It’s a glorified glass crusher that’s well made and easy to use.

Great piece of equipment! My only suggestion is to alos buy a set of strainers so the frit can be sorted easily.
