My favourite purchase of last year - I get so much use out of these. I work as a nanny and I couldn't stand the long waits outside of the school gates without these anymore! The heat doesn't last that long, but that's just physics, not a reflection on the product. I'd say it lasts for a solid half hour and then starts to get cold. I keep them in my pockets and the kids stick their hands in there too.
