I used this for a guided reading activity. I chose it because the pupils who I work with are reluctant readers, this has a good balance of reading and pictures to help children learn about this important period in history.

I really liked this book to help deliver info on the GFoL topic. The 'How do we know' sections help to enforce the historical skills as well as knowledge and I thought the extracts from SP's diary etc were a great addition too.
