Col Ichabod Conk Black Ceramic Apothecary Style Shaving Mug

This shaving mug by Ichabod Conk is very well made, and comes with a free puck of his famous soap. The puck I received was in the amber scent, it loaded up very well and provided excellent protection for my face. I was able to get the best shave to date using this soap, my Gillette Slim Adjustable, and a Rapira Swedish Supersteel blade. I did not nick or cut myself and got a BBS shave.The soap itself is not very slick, however it makes up for this by offering excellent cushioning and protection to your face. The mug itself is big enough to get a great lather and also well-made enough to where it retains heat well. Since this soap os glycerin based, it can be melted down into the mug or a container of your choice.Overall I find no flaws in either the soap or the mug and recommend it to anyone looking to get a great quality shaving mug along with equally nice quality soap.

Great product. Easy to hold. Large enough to whip up a bunch of thick, rich lather. It works well with both my smaller and larger shave brushes.

This is my 2nd one. They are very nice. The wide opening is nicer than a standard mug. I would recomend.

Very nice shaving mug, not too heavy and is deep enough so the foam doesn't spill over the edges. Very happy with it.

Great mug for holding a puck of soap and the handle is perfect for loading up a brush, but for whatever reason it's not really possible to get a good lather in this mug. Gives a good classic look to your gear, and comes with a puck of Col Conk soap (which I didn't expect and don't remember seeing in the listing)Updated review: Turns out this mug just needs to get some soap residue built up on the inside surfaces, then it lathers up pretty well.
