The manual is so detailed that I'm pretty sure I could build a new engine from scratch if I wanted to, but let's be real, I'm not that handy. The pictures are so clear that I feel like I'm watching a movie about boat engines, but without the popcorn. The only downside is that my friends now think I'm some kind of boat engine genius, and they keep asking me to fix their engines. But let's be real, I'm just following the instructions in the manual. If you want to impress your friends and feel like a boat engine wizard, the Evinrude Outboard, 2002-2012 Repair and Tune-Up Manual is the way to go. Just be prepared for all the attention and admiration that comes with being a boat engine expert.

there is a lot of great info here, this is a very complete guide, there's a lot of fluff here and there but all the basics, all the maintenance and all the need to know specs are in here.

At $100 per shop hour that the pros charge, this manual paid for itself as soon as I got it.

Over all these are good manuals when it's time to do a repair. They lack a little bit on pictures but they cover a lot of motors for the size of the book that's why I gave it a rating of four.
