Hummingbird 4-in-1 Medical Scissors - Compact Pocket Size Trauma Shears for Nurses, Students, Practitioners & Medical Professionals (Black)

I bought these when I graduated nursing school 2 years ago because I wanted something small and lightweight that would easily fit in my pocket. I honestly didn't think I would love these as much as I do! I work in an ICU and I use them daily. They fit in my cargo pocket easily and don't weigh my pockets down. I mainly use them for small jobs, ie. cutting wound care supplies, suction tubing but I have used them to cut clothes off of a pt and they performed well. I'm not sure how well they would work with thicker fabrics like jeans.I love the magnet on the handle. The magnet allows me to stick them on to a metal surface when I need to free my hands without having to lay them on the bed or stick them back in my pocket before I can sanitize them (gross).My most favorite thing about these though is the IV clamp! Honestly works better than using hemostats for loosening stubborn IV and tube feed connections. My coworkers are always amazed at how great these scissors are! I've even used the tip as a flat head screwdriver.If I had to choose one thing I disliked about these is probably the handles. As other reviews have mentioned, they are a little on the flimsy side but then again, they have held up to 2 years of use! If these do end up breaking, I will most definitely buy them again!

They are very sharp, and the addition of the teeth on the bottom blade really help them grip and cut through any fabrics. I love the magnet too, I don’t always use it, but when I do I am super glad it’s there. They’re a little bit smaller than I was expecting, but that’s totally alright, I find that they actually fit very nicely in several of the different little pockets in my scrubs. They seem super durable too, so I am confident they will last me quite a while!

Love love love! Perfect size for my top scrub pocket. Love the color blue and gold; lightweight, sharp to cut and the tip is blunt so as not to poke the skin.

I'm a veterinary technician at an animal emergency hospital, and these have been a total game changer for me! IV lines can be notoriously difficult to change, but as someone with increased sensitivity in my hands due to eczema, these have been an absolute life saver! Not only are they perfect for gripping and separating IV extensions, but they are super sharp and durable. My old shears seemed to dull quickly and I would have a hard time cutting through bandages and gauze. It was always super frustrating trying to cut through bandages using dull shears on an impatient and wiggly pet. After months of using these, they still cut like they're brand new and haven't required sharpening. I can quickly and easily remove bandaging without issue. Overall, I can't recommend these enough!

These are a really good pair! I’ve had multiple sizes and qualities from previous buys of other products and I’m easily impressed. Fits perfectly in my scrub pocket and rounded edges make it so you don’t even feel them in your pocket! It’s with ease, I am happy with this purchase
