Great read.

I appreciate Ricky Martin attempting to do a biography. I found this book to be very preach-y. He glazed over a lot of his life, and didn't get into very many details, be it concert tours, life, moments, etc. It was very generalized, I felt like there were only a few names actually mentioned. This felt like an exposition on his feelings, and his thoughts, and how he thinks we should feel and think.I am a Ricky Martin fan, and applaud a lot of the work that he has done. I appreciate having such a positive Latino and gay person in the limelight. I just felt a bit let down by the book. And found myself skimming through paragraphs, as I stated before, it simply felt like an exposition on how he feels about certain topics.Kinda wished I could have heard more about his days in Menudo, and his friendships with the other guys.It was an easy read, at least.

Ricky Martin's Book me is a real indentifable book. Being Gay and Puerto rican as well and his testimonial of his experiences and his individual wisdom which is stellar I can see why he is so successful. Wisdom always creates true wealth and he is a REALLIONAIRE. Very true to himself.I see a lot of traits of him of what I would want in a partner

This was addictive as soon as I picked up the book I could not put it down. I read it straight through. While I was fixing cereal and all! Didn't even change out of my pj's !

There were a lot of words that said what a lot of words say but very little about the person writing them. After reading 'ME' I wondered what do I know about the real Ricky that I didn't know about him earlier? Very little, if anything. Kinda disappointing. It's as if he still wants to be locked up in a box by telling you what the box looks like on the outside (as if you can't see for yourself) but not much of a glimmer of what is inside the box that you can't see.

thoroughly enjoyed this read. ricky martin is in australia at the moment and im attending one of his concerts in oct. i love to read biographies and this one has been amazing

Wowww a beautiful experience going through the lines of Me. I could strongly associate my own feelings, my experience and myself with the lines written by Ricky. The most practical approach towards a spiritual living.A must read for everyone - those who love Ricky to fall in love with him all the more (like myself) and those who know little about him to know more about him.This book once again is a proof that we all are energetically connected with one another. We are one.No matter in which part of globe you are physically located, but we all are energetically attached and bound with the souls who are known to us from previous incarnations and also with our soulmates. Going through the pages, this man felt to be so near to me, so dear to me and so known to me.In most of the lines he gave me the feeling that he is so very much close to me, my heart (even if I am located in India, so far far away from him). I LOVE YOU RICKY, in all your songs, in all your creations, in all your lines.......... I LOVE YOU and I SALUTE THE DIVINITY WITHIN YOU.

この10年、外見から入って歌も、プエルト・リコ出身というエキゾチックな要素もあって好きでした。慈善活動などしていることは知っていたけれど、その背景など思いもしませんでした。内容は、確かに精神性の話が多いかもしれませんが、エンターテイメントの世界の人のみならず社会で成功している人たちの困難の乗り越え方、物の考え方や成長の仕方、など参考になるところは多いように思います。インドでスピリチュアルに目覚め、慈善活動に打ち込み、とややお決まりのコースかなと思えなくもありませんが、それでリッキーもファンもハッピーならそれでいいではありませんか。個人的には代理母には抵抗感がありますが、本を読めばそのあたりも納得いくところでしょうか。今後のリッキーを見守りたいところです。英語そのものは基礎学力があれば十分読みこなせる程度の平易さです。日本語で「リッキー・マーティンーラテンの旋風」を読んでからこちらを読みましたので比較的読みやすかったです。
