Our All White German Shepherd went from pulling on walks to paying attention to me and staying beside me within 15 MINUTES!!! Absolutely amazing! My father in law ended up buying one for his Rottweiler and said the EXACT SAME THING! Truly a blessing and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

I have been a user of Sprenger training collars for ages. I used to have large dogs but my last two dogs are Jack Russel Terriers. They require the small size collar which have weaker smaller links. Over time the small collars have a tendency to open accidentally and I have lost a few of them for that reason. There is also the risk that the dog might get loose at the worse moment. The benefit of the clip on this version is not only that it is easier to open and close the collar but also that you do not bend the links all the time making them more prone to come apart. The additional benefit of the clip as opposed to the traditional SPENCER pinch collar is that you can weave a small string from one side to the other which will act as a safety if the collar was to split open. See in orange on my photo. You can’t do that on the traditional version. This version with the clip is less agressive and effective than the traditional version as the pinching effect is less but in my case all I need the collar to do is to remind my dog not to pull and this works just fine. Lastly my prior collars were stainless versions of the traditional Sprenger pinch collar and they left an unsightly grey mark on my dog’s coat all around his neck. I haven’t had this one for long but so far so good. I will amend my review if this changes over time. The downside of this material is that it is softer. The need for a backup solution if the collar opens accidentally is that much more important.After a couple of months of use age, I can confirm that this coller with its copper based metal does not stain the white coat of my dog. With the Stainless Steel version of the sma collar, the neck of my dog would quickly turn grey. Love this product. Have purchased a 2nd one.

I ordered this to replace a Herm Sprenger Chrome Plated nickel prong collar. My dog is white and the chrome plated collar was turning her fur a gray color. The Curogan has so far not done that.I do like the quick release buckle. Makes it much easier to take on and off with my arthritis. I wound up taking the safety cover off of the quick release as it was always popping off anyway. I also use a safety strap to her regular collar for extra protection.I was a bit concerned that the correction with this collar would not be as effective, but after using for awhile I am very pleased. She is a very energetic 3 year old English Pointer. Very glad that I purchased this collar!

If I were to do it again, I'd go the full chain route with the quick release attachment.While the quick release at the top makes the collar very easy to put on my dog, I find that the fabric section makes the leash pop much less effective.Still does the job at preventing pulling, and is infinitely easier to put on thanks to the quick snap clip, which is very sturdy and works really well.The metal looks great on my dogs color of coat, and hasn't given him any hot spots that he was getting with the stainless.It's definitely not as "smooth" as the stainless, you can feel the links have a bit of friction in them, but this doesn't affect anything at all in my experience.Like I said, I love the Curogan, I love the quick release, but don't love the non-metal section as it has some give and doesn't allow you to do leash corrections/pops properly.The all chain route would probably be ideal, as you could just add the quick release to it.

This collar is very sturdy and easy to adjust. I removed a couple of links from the 4.0mm and it fit my 75lb pitbull perfectly. It fits well and doesn't shift during the walk, and he doesn't express any discomfort.I love the buckle for easy on and off as well as the guard that keeps the buckle from being accidentally depressed.This collar is a game changer in terms of having smooth walks with no pulling.

I ordered this product at the suggestion of my trainer. Theoretically, pinch collars should come together to pinch the skin, this product does not do so. Rather, the prongs dig directly into your furry companions neck. I know because I tested it on myself to understand my companions reaction to the collar. Do not purchase unless you want to damage your pets internal organs of the throat. And yes, I know how to use the collar and utilize a professional trainer with decades of experience.

This collar is just what we needed. My 2 year old pit is a super puller. I have tried numerous no-pull devices and nothing helped. It was becoming so frustrating and painful to walk her. This collar is a dream come true! I had zero issues putting on and taking off, she really likes it! The pulling is gone! My only regret is not getting this sooner! Color is beautiful too.

Overall for the price point I don’t think it’s worth it. I’ve had this product about 6 months and now when she shakes it’ll just fall off, she’s gotten loose a few times. The pieces do tend to unhook sometimes when putting the collar on and off too. I gave it 2 stars because it didn’t rust and it did its job and helped with the pulling , but the longevity isn’t there. .

Se lo compré a mi perro porque es alérgico al Níquel y empezó a tener problemas con otros collares. Ahora ya no le salen ronchas ni se está rascando tanto como antes.Si buscan un collar para corrección, obediencia, etc. , les recomiendo uno que tenga cadena, si buscan un collar que tenga ligera corrección para un perro que ya esté entrenado o para algunos ejercicios de protección, les recomiendo éste.Yo entreno para Ring Francés y me es súper útil para algunos ejercicios.

Still gentle on my doggo’s neck, it gave her just the right amount of tension to stop dragging me around the neighbourhood on our walks. I was really opposed to prong collars, but found this one to be the gentlest option out there. Expensive, but worth it now that I enjoy walk time.

Es flexible para quitar los eslabones además es resistente y es muy práctico este diseño a diferencia de otros este solo desabrochas y abrochas es muy práctico me encantó! Pero si está algo elevado el precio pero te lo recomiendo Ampliamente ya que lo puedes ajustar quitando o poniendo eslabones.
