Looks just like the picture. I've been using these flip locks for many years and even though there's not much to them, they happen to work great. A good price and I'm happy with this purchase.

My mom has dementia and has gone walk about while I was sleeping. She was able to undo the deadbolt and doorknob lock. I installed a flip latch at the top of the back door and the front door. Was very inexpensive and easy to install and is very effective at keeping mom inside.

I have used these locks for years. I know that it will give me added noise to draw my attention if someone is trying to break in. Got them for my daughter. So easy to install.

This works great

Used this to "lock" a bathroom closet to store cleaning products, medicine, nail polish, etc. away from young kids. It's easy to open for us and so far (a few years) has kept kids out. This is not a true lock - all you have to do is lift and then flip it to open, so if your kid is hellbent on getting in and they play with it long enough they'll figure it out. We don't have a chair anywhere near this closet and we put it really high up - almost to the top of the door frame - so it's not easy to reach... plus when I open it with kids in the room I cover it with my hand so they don't see how I do it. With that said, if I had an older kid I was concerned about taking prescription drugs or something like that, I'd go for something with a key. Another plus is it does minimal damage so when you want to remove it, you'll just have to fill a few holes inside the door frame which won't be noticeable.

To keep a toddler from the basement stairs, it's ok.As a security device..?Forget it.

The only purpose we purchased these for was for our toddler. He’s at the point where he can unlock and open the doors to go outside. We needed something to keep the doors locked. These were perfect! They are cheap but durable and super easy to install. He’s pretty rough with trying to get the doors opened and these have withstood it. I’d highly recommend for anyone needing extra security for keeping the doors locked for littles.Side note: I would not necessarily recommend if your looking for home security to keep people for breaking In. I don’t know if these would actually withstand something like that.

I bought one of these ingenious locks over 20 years ago from a newspaper offer and have since tried to buy another. I looked everywhere and couldn't find one anywhere. Finally at long last I found one and I am so pleased with it.

A nice simple door lock, which does the job of preventing toddlers from opening doors very well. Thoroughly recommended.

The media could not be loaded. This is a simple yet effective way to keep your busy toddler from opening doors you don't want them to open. I installed it on our front door, but you can install it on any door frame as needed.The lock gets installed on the door frame or in my case on the other 'fixed' door that I have in my apartment. It comes with 2 screws and instructions on what drill but to use if you end up needing it. To lock and unlock, you need to lift the flap up and turn it over then push down. This secures it in place. (See pictures and video attached).Highly recommended low cost and very effective childproofing item!

I'm sure this is a great way of child proofing a door but it just didn't fit well on my door. I can see how it would work though and I'm sure it would be very good. I screwed it into the door jamb and the way my door fits against the jamb just meant this was completely unsuitable and didn't work for me. I have ended up using a chain across the patio doors.
