May have to add a spacer to be able to tighten down but you can take off of old brake pads.
Worked just as intended, did have to add a spacer from the old brakes to one side to have it tighten up for some reason but the product was good quality as far as I can tell and worked perfectly. And it came with the tool needed to complete the job.

Great bike brake pads
We have purchased these a few times because they work so well and don't squeak. We even bought them for my sister in law's bike which had a squeaky brake problem she was having a problem solving. Work perfectly. Highly recommend.

Works fine....beware of theft risk!
These seem to work well, durability unknown at this time. Evidently attractive, or a highly sought-after product as my bike got stolen almost immediately after these were installed. Easy to install, stopped the bike...what more can you ask of a product beyond doing its designed purpose?

Had to modify it to make it work.
If the bracket on your bike that holds the brake pad is less than about 1/4 inch, the nut will not thread down far enough to secure the pad. I had to add a few extra washers in order to have the nut tighten. Note that the nut is not a standard nut, but one with an Allan wrench slot on the end. That's what causes the nut to not tighten fully against the bracket that holds the pad. It works as I've modified it, but it would be nice to have the manufacturer specify what thickness you need to have it work without modification.

Fit perfectly on Townie Electra 16โ wheels
Great brakes. Used on a Townie cruiser. Exact same fit as the Towniw stock 271 had. Canโt beat the price and I hope they donโt go up. No noise and nice and smooth braking.
