Steel Targets 12" x 1/2"

Awesome Product
Purchased this for hunting camp to do some target practice. Painted it Red and hung it out about 120 yards, about the distance we might shoot a deer. We shot about 8 to 10 rounds at it with direct hits using 30-06 and 308 rounds, made a mess of the paint but little if any damage to the actual target. We hung this between 2 trees with a up sloping back drop in the middle of nowhere Maine, I was surprised how hard a round hits even at that yardage, this flipped wildly at hits. Minimal dimpling occurred, ready for next year when we do back again, lots of fun. If you need a steel target and do not use LAP rounds I would recommend this product.

Ding ding ding!
Purchased these alongside some mounting hardware and started our first range. They're plates of steel, but they were cut accurately, the correct thickness, and properly hardened. Gave them a coat of rustoleum primer and then pinged away on them. Will be purchasing more from this seller. Recommended.

Love It!!
Most fun we ever have with this. Shooting .308 at 200 yard (the range maximum distance) and not a damage. You can definitely hear the 'GONG'. I went with 1/2" for better withstanding different calibers. We will try 30-06 next time to see how well this target stand against it. I also bought the 'Target Mounting Kit' and it's perfect for this.(See Picture) Bought some steel fence post, carabiners, and screw on D-ring (Not sure what they're called) for easy detach and transport.

Worth the $$
Smooth edges with no burs. If you hit the edge it may put a small nick in the steel but anywhere center of the edge and the bullet dump its energy into the plate. XM855 steel penetrators left a tiny pit at 100 yards but it would take more rounds than me and a battalion of my friends can afford to wear the target out with these. 7.62 NATO FMJ's had no effect other than making a loud clang. Plate movement seen and clang easily heard out to 300+ yards. A can of white spray paint can be used to cover splatter marks and show hit points on the next series of rounds. If you use the chain kit ST7 sells its intuitive design angles the plate slightly down and deflects the bullets and fragments into the ground safely. No ricochets back at the shooters but still advisable to follow ST7's warnings against shooting at them from a close range.Orders over $100 came with fast & free shipping which would have cost a pretty penny given the weight of the box.

Heavy duty, but...
These are definitely AR 500. I tested them with my M & P .223 at 50 yards, and barely a ding was made. I bought 5 of these at a reasonable price to be used at my outdoor range, and got the chains also just to save me a trip to the store. My only qualm with these was the way they were shipped. Oh my, I was so sad for the mailman as the package had come apart and the pieces were everywhere. Again, 5 gongs of various sizes and 5 sets of chains were ordered by me, and they were crammed in one USPS box with a board in the bottom to supposedly secure them. Of course, the box couldn't handle the weight. It was in shambles. My friendly postman, thank God, is a nice fellow who made sure I got all of my order. Please guys, I will order from you again if you promise not to use a flimsy, tiny box to ship my stuff. Maybe you can use multiple boxes.Otherwise, I'm happy.

4" X 3/16" STEEL TARGET
Extremely clean and clean cut steel targets. A quick wipe down with mineral spirits and spray with white paint and they are ready to go. I have four placed out to 50yards behind the house. I shoot pellet rifles and the pellet will knock off a spot of paint when they hit. Makes it easy to see where on the target my shots are hitting. A quick shot of paint and it is new again. How easy can it get?I would recommend to a friend.

Would buy again without any remorse
I bought several sizes and have had these quite a while now. I have put thousands of rounds of multiple calibers into them and varying distances. WAY more fun than paper!Handles every pistol caliber without issue and most rifles. Handles 17hmr up to 300h&h mag and 45-70 and no damage to the plates. I have not and would not shoot any steel core or AP rounds at them. However, shot the 204 ruger at the large plate one day and it pitted it pretty bad. Its way over their posted 2900fps tolerance so thats on me. Doesnt affect the function, just a heads up...

A bullet from a 44 magnum melts off it like butter
I bought this with a target mounting kit and got it up as soon as I received it. I must say it is well made and was a breeze to mount with the kit. All you need is a couple of hooks to hang the chains on. Having the target up all the time makes it very convenient to just step out my back door and start shooting. I can tell you that I have been shooting more and in the short time I've had it I have seen an improvement in my accuracy, I can also tell you that at 50 yards a bullet from a 44 magnum melts off of it like butter. I imagine I will get many years of service out of this and is one of the better investments I have made. You might also want to visit their website to see what else they have to offer including a free e book on steel targets.
