Chincoteague Calm (Emerson Moore, 11)

Bought this because I love Chincoteague. Not the kind of thing I normally read. That's why I gave it 2 stars. Didn't care about any of the characters. Read like a trip advisor review. Exited was used to often for my liking. Think I read some Night Stalker instead. And maybe knock another star off this review.

I LOVE Bob Adamov's books. It's just another great addition to my collection.

This is the first book I've read by Bob Adamov. As a frequent visitor to Chincoteague Island, I thought the book captured the quaint personality of the island and the local flavor. The story is captivating and offers many avenues to think ahead trying to guess what happens next. Adamov chose the right subject material as Chincoteague still has many secrets awaiting to be discovered. With that, I hope to see more mysteries based on this enchanted area. Thanks for the good read.

As a huge fan of Chincoteague Island I was excited to see a book with the island as its backdrop.this book is filled with real places and real people from the island, I think you would get a real feel for the place even if you have never been there. Emerson Moore is a wonderful character, kind of a mix of Dirk Pitt, James Bond and Dave Robicheaux all rolled into one. I love how the author used real characters from the island in the book, I have met some of them and they are definitely characters! This book keeps your attention right from the start and keeps you guessing right until the end. The beauty of Chincoteague wrapped up in a good mystery a wonderful combination. Cant wait to see what's next!

I've read all of Bob Adamov's books and they are all great stories! Bob writes in a style similar to Clive Cussler and he weaves an excellent mystery. Emerson Moore is a very believable character and Bob always includes many excellent landmarks. Chincoteague Calm takes Emerson on another adventure including failed rocket launches at the local NASA site and several untimely and mysterious deaths! Makes for a fun, page-turner!!

Bob has done it again. Was up to 2:00 AM to finish the book. I love his style. Not long paragraphs explaining stuff you don't care about. The dialogue keeps the story moving at a fast pace. You will be intrigued, especially if you know of the areas he sets his story. Being a former Buckeye, it brings memories of the Islands. And, after you read the book, you want to visit the area. The time and effort he puts in his work is proof in his edge of suspense and reality of his writing. Thank you Bob for your dedication to your work. Bob Adamov is exceptional at character development and there certainly is a pluthera of characters in this latest Emerson Moore adventure. Combine this with the unique location of Chincoteague Island and you have a book that is hard to put down. Part mystery thriller, part travel guide, I can't wait to visit the locations described in Chincoteague Calm. Looking forward to the next adventure.
