Corelle Vitrelle 18-Piece Service for 6 Dinnerware Set Triple Layer Glass and Chip Resistant, Lightweight Round Plates and Bowls Set, Country Cottage

My husband and I had been needing a new dishware set for ages. We wanted something that matched our vintage blue glasses we got from my grandma after she passed. So, we decided to try and look for something that met our expectations in quality and design that fit the bill. These were perfect! Quality: My in-laws have used Corelle for as long as they can remember—surviving many falls. And the quality of this set feels no different! I’ve already hit dishes against each other when loading the dishwasher and had zero issues. The glass is thin, but doesn’t feel weak (which is great, because that means I can get another set or two for more mouths and not feel guilty about how much space it takes up on the shelf). I’ve also yet to see our knives scratch the glass, and I can say the same even about my in-laws plates that have been used for 15+ years. Size: these are smaller than our last set we had, so I was concerned about whether we’d feel full after eating, but that wasn’t the case! They’re the perfect size, and actually help me feel like I won’t over eat! Cleaning: we’ve had no problems with cleaning these puppies. Typically we make sure we rinse our dishes before putting in the sink, but even when we don’t, meals with high stain spices (like turmeric) have been no match against these guys! Even my own counter didn’t get the stain off as good as these. Design: the design is so cute, centered perfectly, and has no misprints! I do wonder whether wear and tear will fade the paint over time, but I guess time will tell in this case. Compatibility: one reason I chose this set was because I could expand our set with more serving platters or ramekins down the road whether from Corelle or not. I got so excited, though, I already bought Corelle’s matching rimmed bowls with the same design for pastas and salads! Packaging: I saw a lot of reviews that showed pictures of the glass arriving broken, so I made sure to take a video as soon as I opened the box (video wouldn’t upload, so all photos are screenshots here). And while mine didn’t break, the concerns are valid. Having some sort of cushion or barrier every 2-3 dishes is a recipe for disaster if the box was ever dropped. They should have something between every dish in my opinion. So, BUYER BEWARE on that one. Luckily, that didn’t happen in my case. I would have given this 5 stars if not for the packaging. If I had picked it up from a store I wouldn’t have been worried, but since it was being shipped I did have some concerns. However, I wanted Corelle enough that if they arrived broken I would have returned them and either gotten another set or found some locally! All in all, you can’t go wrong with Corelle. Even if the packaging could use some improvement.

There’s a reason these dishes have been around forever. My mother-in-law still has hers from when she got married. Solid, sturdy dishes. Don’t scratch easily or at all. The plain white has no toxins. Feels better feeding myself and my family with them. And the clean, white look is classy. Size is great for dinner plates, dessert plates. Need some coffee mugs to match now. Great purchase, especially if you catch them on a discount.

I've been using the Corelle Vitrelle 18-Piece Dinnerware Set for over 2–3 years now, and it has held up extremely well. The plates and bowls are lightweight yet surprisingly durable, and the triple-layer glass construction really does a great job resisting chips and cracks with daily use. Even after frequent washing and regular use, the set still looks clean and hasn’t shown noticeable wear or fading. I also like how easy it is to stack and store because of how thin and space-efficient the pieces are compared to traditional ceramic dishes. This set works perfectly for everyday meals and is low maintenance, which makes it very practical for a busy household. It’s also microwave and dishwasher safe, which adds to the convenience. Overall, this has been one of the most reliable dinnerware sets I’ve owned. After years of use, it still performs like new and continues to be a great value for the price.

# Perfect Everyday Dinnerware — Durable and Lightweight! I love this set for everyday use! The plates and bowls are a great size, lightweight, and so easy to clean since everything is dishwasher safe. The simple white design also goes with everything and still looks nice enough when we have people over. The durability is probably my favorite part. Even my 10-year-old uses these regularly, and she can be pretty tough on dinnerware! They’ve held up incredibly well without feeling heavy or bulky. Such a practical, durable set for a family, and I would absolutely recommend it.

White dishes provide a great, blank space for your daily creations. They also match any decor, are chip resistant, and dishwasher safe. What more could you ask for?

The big plates and bowls are good but the medium sized plates are actually useless. They are too tiny to put anything in. Even for a fried egg my son prefers to take out the big one. 😄 no idea what was the purpose of oddly sized small plates. (new toilet roll placed next to plate for reference) They rest of plates are very good for use. They plates do get as hot as the food itself when put in microwave. So i double up the plates before moving it out of microwave. Helps in holding.

This stuff is getting very hard to find and I can see why. It can go in the freezer, the dish washer, the oven and the microwave. It is very thin and saves space but it is chjp resistant and extremely sturdy. I would classify it as NERD dishware because as far as dishes go it is perfect and the most efficient dishware I have ever found!

I’m reviewing three items I purchased separately hoping they would work together as a set. They did!! These are dishes for my daughter’s new apartment that has very little cabinet space so her stoneware set is just too bulky. So I decided to pick up some Corelleware since it is durable, compact and lightweight. I really thought I would find some items that might “work” together, but never imagined I’d find EXACTLY the right shades of blue to match everything. I guess the Household Goods Gods were smiling on me that day! #1 - Corelle 18-Piece Service for 6, Chip Resistant, Ocean Blues Dinnerware Set, These round plates and bowls have a modern yet playful rows of dots along the edge in three shades of blue including navy, periwinkle and teal. The plate itself is bright white. The bowls have a navy blue rim. (In the Amazon pictures it looks black, but it truly does look blue in person.) I have used Corelle dishes for over 30 years and my only complaint is that they last FOREVER! LOL! I mean I love a good value, but I it’s hard to justify spending $$ on “new” dishes when the ones you have still look as good as the day you bought them. Nonetheless, after buying these for my daughter, I am eyeing a new set for myself. #2 Sweese 6210 Porcelain Fluted Mugs - 14 Ounce for Coffee, Tea, Cocoa, Set of 6, Cold Assorted Colors . Since the Corelle set did not come with coffee mugs, I looked for some blue ceramic mugs and found these beauties! And, I’m thrilled to report that they complement the Ocean Blues dishes perfectly! (See photo). These are stoneware coffee mugs with an elegant fluted side. The insides is white - not cream or beige. The white is not as bright as the Corelle dishes, but close enough. The mugs have a good weight to them - but not heavy or clunky. Of course they are not Corelleware, and will probably not hold up forever, but they seem to be sturdy to withstand normal use. The color I ordered says “Assorted” and it arrived very well packaged. Each mug inside a bubble wrap back and in its own compartment in a sturdy cardboard box. As I said, the colors go very well with Ocean Blues dinnerware. Only one mug appears a bit more green than blue - but it’s still in the blue color family. Overall, I LOVE these mugs and at about $4.50 each, they were a bargain! #3 Cafe 20-ounce Break-Resistant Plastic Restaurant-Style Beverage Tumblers | Set of 16 in 4 Coastal Colors. To round out my daughter’s dish set, she needed cups for cold drinks as well. She is in college so I wanted unbeakable glasses - but not Tupperware-like plastic. I searched for acrylic drinkware and found these gems. I hadn’t planned on getting 16 cups, but at $1 each, I could not pass these up. They are exactly as their description reads - very much like the glasses used by little mom & pop diners- slightly bumpy texture on the outside with smooth rims and insides. Of course the BEST thing about them for me, was that came in shades of blue that coordinate so well with both the Corelle Ocean Waves and the coffee mugs! Seriously, these dishes look like I bought them as a set together. I really lucked out with these glasses - each in a different shade of blue that just happens to match the Ocean Blues. (Actually, one of the colors is really more of a smoky charcoal. I plan to keep those for my husband to use out in his workshop so he doesn’t keep taking my glass glasses out there.) These cups hold 20 ounces but don’t look or feel huge. After you add 6-8 ices cubes, you can pour a whole 12 ounce can of soda in the cup without it getting to over-flow level.

I loved corelle dinnerwares and I am using since last 43 years.

As always these have lived up to the reputation of the brand as genuinely great looking with impressive quality as well. We have bought this brand several times over the years and we have never been disappointed. These are excellent addition to our wares at the house. It even impressed our guests.

Very happy with my purchase. I was apprehensive to buy them at the start as some of the reviews stated that the product came chipped etc. It actually came in great condition, was packed with care and they look beautiful! Yes they are a bit on the pricey side, but super lightweight and stack well on each other. Love them :)
