The Date Night Jar

What an amazing and wonderful book this was! I never would have even known about it or had cause to read it if one of my friends had not told me about it. I was so intrigued by the unique story line and the fantastic reviews, I had to read it. I am so happy I took the chance on it. The Date Night Jar has such depth and deep emotion that I was reeled in almost immediately. The characters were slowly and brilliantly developed as the story moves along. The mysteries and twists and turns mesmerized me. There were moments when I was so worried that things for the characters were going to suddenly take a wrong turn that I was a wreck. You easily become that invested in their lives. There are such beautiful, moving love stories involved, as well as such boundless familial love. I am blown away.This is my first book by Joey Jones. It certainly will not be my last. ;)

This is a decent enough book. I liked the main characters. They were realistically portrayed. However, I cannot for the life of me, understand why a professional, well educated woman would, with no second thought, agree to stay overnight in the house of a total stranger. The plot plodded along as we shared each day with the characters. It's a fine story and I know a few others who thoroughly enjoyed this book.

What a sweet sweet story! I could not put the book down. Being from NC, I could relate on so many levels with both characters. I live in Raleigh and know very well the "inside the beltline" type of country club mother, such as Ansley's. I am also very familiar with Oriental, a beautiful coastal area, known for its large sailboat enthusiasts. How beautiful to bring both characters together at both extreme ends of the spectrum. Thank you Joey for doing it again! You are such an incredibly talented author! I look forward to your next book. Please hurry!

If you like the stories of Nicholas Sparks, you’ll certainly love the writings of Joey Jones! Another New Bern, NC area author with settings close to home. If you live or visited that area, you’ll recognize many of these. All of Mr Jones’ books are ones you will not want to set down. So find a comfy spot and enjoy! You won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely loved this book! If you are a Nicholas Sparks fan, you will love The Date Night Jar. Living in N.C., I love that the book takes place in Oriental, N.C. and Raleigh. My only disappointment was the fact that I got to the last page too fast! Looking forward to reading all of Joey Jones books! Thank You!

Was visiting friends in North Carolina and they happened to have a signed copy of the book for their niece for Christmas. I picked it up and started reading a few pages. We looked for it in a few stores while we were there but Barnes and Noble said I would have to order it. So I couldn't wait and had Amazon deliver it to our friends house so I could read it on our flight back home to MN. Great read and I can't wait to order another one of his books.

Enjoyed this novel while at Madeira Beach, Florida. What a sweet, romantic love story that was well written. There’s some unexpected twists and turns as well. I read it very quickly because I could not put it down!

Wow! This was a beautiful love story set in an area I am familiar with. Loved this book. But the ending left me stunned!
