This is a time saving tool which allows you to hang pictures more quickly. The accurate positioning of pictures using traditional methods, has depended upon the use of a tape measure and arithmetic to calculate the position of the hanging on the wall. Sometimes the use of spirit level has been required when hanging adjacent pictures.This device provides a method of holding the picture while you locate the correct position, and after lifting the picture from the tool, the device provides a button-press method to mark the wall. The mark is then used to locate the accurate position of the wall hanging fixture, whether you select (not supplied) a nail or damage free hook. The tool also usefully incorporates two spirit levels for vertical or horizontal hangings, and can be used for wider two-point hangings of the pictures.There is a small limitation to the use of the device, because the tool can be described as a long handle to temporarily hold the frame while you position the picture against the wall. The length of the handle is necessary for wider frames, but the handle also limits the proximity of the final picture to the ceiling or cornice of the wall. This means that the device cannot easily be used if hanging a picture within 25cm (10 inches) of the ceiling.This small limitation apart, the tool is a useful for accurately hanging large quantities of pictures more quickly than traditional methods. The ideal time for purchase would when moving into a new home and facing relocating any set of pictures, or re-hanging pictures after painting and decorating a room.

A useful tool to aid picture hanging making the process easy to carry out single handed - clearly easier done with a second pair of eyes to help confirm position! The built-in spirit level bubbles add an extra level of usefulness as to the basic measuring marks along the long edges.The tool is however long, making the hanging of items in a confined space where a ceiling might be low or a dado rail or similar is in place more challenging.

Handy helper for hanging pictures. I good idea, plenty of levels, only problem with this was that the central marking pin was loose in holder, meaning that it wouldn’t mark.Sorted with some superglue, but poor QA to let that slip through.

This works really well, and as it allows you to take the variation out of hanging framed pictures. So, if all of the hooks are the same height, then you have to make the strings/wires on the back of pictures exactly the same - which is all but impossible.The way this tool works is to allow you to adjust the heights of the hooks to suit the inconsistencies of the frame. It does mean that you can't swap pictures around, but from what I hear, that is just the nature of hanging pictures properly.I hug four in a row outside of my office and enjoy looking down the line of them and seeing it is perfectly straight every time I walk past!

This is a clever device that almost works brilliantly, but having found the hole's location and aligned the spirit level, it's almost impossible to remove the picture without the hanging device being knocked to the side, thus potentially moving the location of the desired hole.Maybe it's just me - I like it and it's useful but it's not perfect.

Very helpful trying to accurately position pictures on the wall. The marking pin at the back to mark the wall could leave a more distinctive mark but that is a small point.
